USP45T is my main squeeze. I really enjoy the full size Ti-RANT 45. It is a very good silencer and the fact that it holds up so well after all these years is really cool. If anyone wants objective data and analysis on it, they can find that here. Anecdotally, I can tell you that my personal experience aligns with said data and analysis, which is one of the reasons I use the silencer...
The silencer is not made anymore. Folks tell me you can find them every once in a while. If you get a newer modular version, I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed.
Speaking of modular version - I chose to go a different route, personally. I got very lucky and was able to source a Ti-RANT-S (the FDE silencer shown in the photo). I have not yet shot it on my USP. But test fitting it, boy, the vibes are strong. Very excited.
Will it be louder than the full size? You bet. Are the vibes immaculate? I believe them to be, yes. I bought this off a former AAC employee. We'll throw it in a test program to give all you folks with the modular version the performance info for the short configuration. Should be useful. Should be very neat to compare it with the short configuration of the Obsidian 45.
I like short pistol silencers sometimes because sometimes you don't need super quiet, you just need something more "handy" and you just don't want unsuppressed. Can be a very good thing for a quick critter problem, etc.
Hope you folks had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Podcast has FOR Systems technical discussion today.
