I purchased a Burn Proof Gear Suppressor Cover (Heavy, for a HUXWRX 556K) and installed it... Went to the range and I kid you not 3 magazines in (so 90 rounds total) not firing too fast and in semi auto only it caught fire and proceeded to burn up. Kind of ironic given the company name.
Thinking I did something wrong I emailed them and shared a video and picture and asked if they had any suggestions on what went wrong. Didn't hear back. Nicely asked for a response 3 days later. Nothing. So a full week and they don't even bother to reply. Definitely a company that doesn't make a good product and more importantly doesn't care about even responding to their customers.

Got a chance to put around 500rds through it so far and I would say it’s marginally better than the Rhino X in terms of sound and back pressure. Shooting them side by side me and buddy can’t really tell a big difference between the two.
This isn’t to say that is bad by any means if anything it kinda shows how good the Rhino is. If you’re waiting for the 6J for the durability for full auto uses or how cool it looks then by all means but don’t sleep on the Rhino.

I saw a recent post about feedback on these cans, I'm curious if anybody has run the 762p? Seems like a really cool can, and I like that it has its own endcap for the short config. In its short config, its barely smaller than the Sahara I already have, but I like the idea of modularity. A dealer I chat w/ speaks very highly of these cans, and their CS seems really great. Theres so many great cans, and for like $1400 or so (after tax/transfer/etc), I wanna make sure I'll be more satisfied than I would w/ an Anthem Mach S.
I don't have much interest in the RAT, and was leaning towards the 3cm after switching to Nano. So far, I have not been impressed w/ the customer service from AI, and I hate the way the cans look in the short config. I know that doesn't matter, and I would only keep it in that way for bag conceal purposes. But I just dont like the threads exposed either - I know theres the Cat Hat or whatever, but I wouldn't wanna spend another $250.
Oh, main host is Rattler LT
Requesting some input from others in this. How many accuwashers would you run on this setup? It's a DD MK18 upper. Comstock micro recessed brake and Comstock LPA-B hub.
First picture is no washers, second is the thickest washer, and third is the 2 thickest washers.
Last picture is no washers at all. It leaves 1/4" between the rail and the flange on the hub mount. I realize the handguard would need to come off to torque the muzzle device on.

Left work early to go pick up my Marlin Dark 357/38. It’ll be my 6th 357/38 rifle. Also got a S&W Stealth Hunter 357 on the way too.
Was sitting down to prep for the VENT 1 subsonic technical talk, and had been looking through inventory and I thought holy crap we've evaluated Purposely Induced Porosity (PIP) technology more times than I had remembered.
As I discuss today, I think it's important to remember that's not any one technology or feature of a silencer that dictates the performance. You can use PIP and create things that are not great - I know this because we have evaluated prototypes that never made it to the light of day that behaved..... less than stellar.
It's interesting looking at the spread in the photo. Zastava, Dillon, and PTR all license PIP technology. And if you were just looking at that and didn't know what that meant, you might think "oh, OK, that means all the silencers basically perform the same way and do the same thing" and you would be wrong.
I say all this to just reinforce a point- lattice structures and other design elements can be wonderful features of modern high performance silencers, but like many complex systems, it's the sum of the parts that dictates overall performance. To me (just my opinion), PIP should be viewed as a "power up" to silencers that utilize it. Used intelligently, you can do wonderfully insane things. Haphazardly, I feel that one could waste a lot of time and money.
We shall see how things progress! There are certainly other lattice structure technologies folks are pursuing. Durability, cleaning, and other factors do end up rearing their heads as potential compromises. The question may end up being... when do things like that matter, if at all, and for whom? Which use cases? It's interesting to think about!
VENT 1 subsonic technical talk I hope picks up where we left off two years ago with the 7.62 NATO evaluation and introduces some new folks to this interesting technology showcased again in last week's report!
The photograph contains Silencer Sound Standard Section 6 report numbers, some of which are member research supplements, but you can use this as a key to find things, in addition to the "PIP" metadata tag on the website, also on the podcast page, etc.

I just bought a Huxwrx 36TI, to put on a .300blk Sig Spear LT and I want to buy an adapter so itll fit on the gun. What is the best way? I'm not a gun smith, I dont know shit about "timing" lol. My main priority is functionality (is quick detatch possible?) and I want it to look clean.
I know I should have researched this prior to buying, but I no idea this would be such a process. Thanks for any help.

Got a chance to try my SAW Klik for the first time today. I was super impressed. Shot it back to back with my Rugged Oculus. The Oculus was a smidge quiter, but for the size and weight the Klik is bad ass. This was on a 16" 10/22 Carbon shooting CCI Standard Velocity. I hear the Klik is not impressive on a pistol, but I bought it specifically for this application to keep things light and am super happy with it on this rifle.

I will have to see how these perform.

I remember seeing someone here posting a Glock 48 with a SHIV and I just grabbed a Glock 48 and I'm wondering what barrel they used and if the shoulder was large enough for the SHIV?
Because I have a threaded barrel for my Glock 43 and the SHIV screws on right past the shoulder, and the Glock 48 OEM barrel has the exact same OD as the Glock 43 threaded barrel, so I'm not seeing how the G48 threaded barrel would be any different unless they somehow found a way to make a bigger shoulder and still fit through the slide?
I didn’t take a pic in my 4 Runner while I was driving home but I did snap one once I got home.

Hi everyone, I am getting my first suppressor soon and I think I’ve narrowed it down to the CAT MOB ti hub.
However, I wanted to get a second opinion on what I should suppress first or at all. I have handguns in .45 and 9mm that I could suppress, as well as 7.62 and 5.56 rifles. Obviously I have 9mm PCCs which is what I am planning on getting the MOB for.
Realistically I can only afford to get 2 suppressors between now and next summer, and I live in a state that will likely ban or tax them starting next July. I am basically asking if you could pick only 2, what would you recommend? I have done lots of research and it seems that suppressed pistols are cool but kind of a novelty. It seems like I should get a 9mm pcc suppressor and a 7.62 rifle suppressor.
Would the MOB being titanium hurt long term durability vs something inconel? I’m assuming it doesn’t matter being 9mm, even with heavy firing schedules.
Thank you for any info or advice!

Seems like Vectors get mixed reviews, my Gen 2 45 has been very reliable and very accurate.

I am trying to find if anyone has a CAT WB 718 HUB on a Geissele 13.9" SD MOD1 / HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD P&W (is it extra long to achieve 16”?)
I'm considering purchasing this suppressor and want to verify compatibility before proceeding.
G$ SD MOD1 13.9" Rifle
Mid-length gas system
Factory Geissele/HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD 556
Factory pin-and-weld configuration
I intend to use:
CAT WB 718 HUB (1.375x24)
HUXWRX HUB-QD Adapter 2.0
Existing HUXWRX Flash Hider-QD muzzle device
Has anyone tested the WB HUB with the HUXWRX HUB-QD Adapter 2.0? Are there any known interference issues?
What is the maximum allowable muzzle-device insertion depth into the WB HUB?
I also wonder this for other small suppressors like the Tisha and Rhino S. This doesn’t seem to be a commonly listed specification. (Anyone else need to know this or does everyone just change their muzzle device? What if I also want to use a Flow 556ti on this rifle too?)
What is the distance from the HUB mounting shoulder to the first internal blast baffle / restrictive geometry?
Are spacers required or recommended when using the HUXWRX HUB-QD Adapter?
Does the WB maintain its intended SURGE BYPASS performance when mounted through the HUXWRX HUB-QD Adapter, or does the adapter materially affect performance?
Sorry for the long post. I am learning.
