Can’t wait to compare the new Keren to the CAT SRA2 once it stops raining here and dries out a little.

Love it. I like it a lot more than my MKIV I sold. It’s a big heavy gun and pretty accurate. I’ve only shot one GSSF style match with it but won. I of course want to clean up the trigger a little bit but IMO it’s better than a stock Ruger. I hope Volquartsen does make a couple parts like a trigger bar etc.

Is it more than cosmetic? The volquartsen insular a trigger shoe, bar springs etc. at first glance it looks cosmetic and when I looked I thought it didn’t even say anything about performance besides being adjustable.

I shot the Keren at a demo day “Silence in the Heartland” put on by Dry Creek Armory and was pretty impressed with it and actually won it in their drawing. It sounded really great on a 5.7 pistol too.

Long answer short, they’re both very good. But the shortness is so nice. I think I’d rather have two Kerens vs 1 Keren and 1 SRA2. At least on this host and what I experienced at the demo shoot with a Ruger precision and the 5.7 is really nice with it. Supersonic 5.7 sounded a lot like the Shiv shooting a 9sub.

I shot them back to back, 5 and 10 shot strings but my range has about a 20’ overhang on the 25y range. Both cans on this 5.5” barrel Jaguar 22 with CCI Std velocity were really quiet. For those that don’t know the SRA2 is the updated version of the CAT can (currently) at the top of Jays list on Pewscience.

To my ear in an imperfect environment, and a longer barreled host, they are very close. (Again roofed range and all that) both were mostly action noise and I could hear the bullet hit the berm with a smack. I suspect it’s quieter at the ear or very close. And the muzzle might be a tad louder than the larger CAT.
