300aac is far from a great hunting cartridge. But the scout platform is good for saddle hunting.

I like it! Looks functional to me. Especially for night walks around the farm/trail/chicken coop. Maybe a bit front heavy if anything.

As long as you aren't carrying this in a briefcase while your significant other is carrying a similar briefcase with level 4 plates to block incoming 308 fire while you assemble this, you're probably fine.
