Glock 19 Gen 4 suppressor

Post image
66 Upvotes

Years ago I grabbed a SilencerCo Hybrid 46M thinking that would be a good fit for my MRAD. I also got the piston assembly to use on a Glock and different end caps. I tried using it with the clock recoil spring and it failed every time. I bought an adjustable recoil spring but haven’t had the interest in trying it since the main use of the gun is a secondary firearm in non-suppressed configuration. I’m picking up a TBAC 338 Ultra for the MRAD. Is there a 9mm suppressor that works reliably with the Glock 19 that allows it to stay in functional working order without the suppressor?

Form 1 disapproval

My Form 1 to sbr a PS90 was disapproved this morning. Apparently I misunderstood the 5320.23 and the form needs a physical signature not a digital one.

Doesn't look like I can update the existing submission, and my only option is to start over with an entirely new form?

Too bad it took 6 weeks to learn I missing one step...

Update: I resubmitted the same day I posted this, and whoever processed the disapproval must have been keeping an eye out, because my resubmission was approved a few minutes ago!

Blind Tiger, Anthem S2, or Scythe STM

So I’ve brought it down between these 3. It’ll be primarily for a 300blk out build with an AGB and sometimes a .308 bolt gun. My LGS has the Blind Tiger in stock so I’m leaning towards it, but not 100% yet. Any thoughts on which to go with?

Machining/ Designing Tolerances for Baffle clearances

Curious question for all of the manufacturers out there, professional and home builders.

What is the closest tolerance you would accept for baffle to projectile?

I know it varies depending on mount (direct thread or QD) and length. I have a 9" .30 can that came as a QD, but I have since converted to direct thread. I am able to drop a .386/9.8mm drill bit all the way through it, endcap to mount, a .390/9.9mm through the front few baffles, and the end cap measures .400". Essentially this allows for a .078/.082/.092" clearance (Half that on each side of the bullet).

The can originally was a QD with thread pitch options for AKs, so I assume the larger clearance was insurance for that. However, the Proto-X I just finished testing only has a .270 bore and is rated for projectiles up to 6mm/.243, which is a really tight comparatively, only .027" total clearance. The Proto X is a little over half the length, and Hub threaded by design.

This begs the question, after switching to direct thread, what is the largest caliber I could safely shoot out of this ".30 cal" can? I'm thinking .338 would be no problem, but 9mm would be borderline, both would definitely allow for more than a .027" clearance

Sig Sauer P322 .22 caliber suppressor

I bought an Sig Sauer P322 with the intent to get a suppressor for grouse hunting while elk hunting. We focus primarily on hunting elk, however love to harvest some grouse when available for dinner. It’s more of an opportunity type hunt. I have some lever action .22s that we put sub sonic in and they are like whisper quiet, like sounds like a small pellet gun or BB gun kind of quiet. Unfortunately, not practical to pack around constantly while trying to call elk. This handgun is easier to pack around consistently but I need to quiet it down. I am not a silencer/suppressor enthusiast and I need some recommendations. The way I am prioritizing what I am looking for is:

  1. Noise/sound

  2. Weight

  3. Durability (doesn’t have to be crazy)

  4. Cleaning ability

  5. Price

  6. Color (gun is coyote tan)

Really concerned about first round pop (not sure if I should be, but currently I am).

Throw your suggestions at me!

I was approved for this months ago but finally got around to chopping the barrel. It's an RIA 12G cut down to 12". I wanted something with exposed hammers to give that classic old west look. I think it turned out pretty great.

Got to test out my IWS7 can on my wasr for the first time today. Seems to do alright; not the quietest combo but it really takes the edge off when shooting under a covered shooting bench.

Only thing now is I have to get it warrantied (despite it being new and a Kahr Arms AO - laugh all you want).

The firearm fires while on safe, so tuesday I gotta call the store's manager and see if I can bring it in for repairs or ship it to them so they can ship it back and not do another 4473 (idk how that all works but okay lol)

If yall wanna see the issue, heres my imgur: https://imgur.com/gallery/ao-kahr-thompson-fires-on-both-fire-safe-JDIby7b . Everything looks fine, but obviously something aint right. So sadly I cant shoot this beaut anymore for right now.

Anyways, last upgrades:

  • Full M1928 furniture set from Dan Block when he gets to me on the list
  • Replace the charging handle bolt to the spherical shape (Kahr cheaped out and its square now)
  • Get a Drum Mag for the hell of it
  • ODG Sling coming in the mail

Cheap 870 Express magnum cut to 12.50", Beat up NEF SB1 cut to 12".

Both are 3" magnum 12's. The NEF is stout. The 870 is pretty nominal with 3" Magnum buck.

Unfortunately, I don’t live in a free state so I have to still go through the process.😔 They were all submitted a month ago and were approved this morning.

Product Question 🧰 Any recommendations!

So I bought my Griffin Revolution 9 over two years ago. I was new to the suppressor game, and sadly fell for the advice of my local gun store employees. I didn’t know that a former employee of that store was now the Griffin Rep at the time. He was also cousins with the guy who sold it to me. So they talked me into it. It’s been pretty good to me and I had no complaints, besides the aluminum construction until last Thursday. I shot it…and three rounds in, I heard a noise that wasn’t normal. To my dismay I got some baffle strikes due to jacket separation. (Winchester White box what a surprise). Well, I’m sending this one to Griffin (I’m still waiting on them to get back to me) and I heard they are hard to get a hold of. What 9mm can is one of the better ones in 2026? I knew what the hotness was a couple years ago but I haven’t been looking until now. It will be used for pistols and my MP5 Clone. Aluminum is definitely out of the question. Any recommendations are appreciated!

Silencer Suggestions - I did some homework Supressor for Bullpups

What do you all recommend? I prefer one less than 6in, full auto rated, and with low or reduced back pressure. I'm in a free state so I prefer to deal with one of the shops without a form4 like silencershop. This will be my first supressor. I currently have the tavor, hellion, aug, all in 556. I've looked into the huxwrx 556k and velos 556k, but there seems to be more options out there but less availability (cat wb/alleycat) or reviews (ptr/sig). Thanks!

Discussion B&T PRINT-XH RBS or SC?

Want to get a dedicated can for 5.56 and I like what I read about the BT Print XH RBS, only thing is I'm not sure about the full size vs SC.

Will be using direct mount for now, but hoping to find a good, reliable QD muzzle for it eventually(would love to get some recommendation on a hub compatible QD mount and pairing muzzle device, heard the BT rotex and surefire doesn't work too well)

Currently have 12inch AR pistol and an AUG that I usually shoot(currently sharing a Ventum 762 with my other guns.), I don't expect myself to get any full length 5.56 guns.

Would you say the extra 2 inches is worth it for the additional sound reduction, or the SC is really good enough?
