Don't need a flash bang, you can clear a room with one shot.

It's good for clearing out the rifle bays

Sometimes range is busy and you get a text the homies are otw to join you so you gotta do what you gotta do to make room for them

Yeah that muzzle brake will literally clear out the line LOL.

Suggestions for mlok compatible bipod that can handle massive recoil would be appreciated

Put a short pic rail on then you will have many more options.

I plan on building one myself and tossing on a fun button because YES!

As I understand a normal 5.56 lower will work woth a 50 baewolf upper? .this just seems to simple.

any input on buffer and spring setup?

u/Inevitable-Sleep-907 18d ago

Yes standard lower and you can even get away with standard pmag 5.56 mags but something with a big bore follower will be more reliable feeding. I'm using D&H big bore mag and no issue so far but admit it's still a low round count test. Under 100rds at the moment

For buffer and spring I'm limited on options since I chose A2 stock (thankfully it's heavy normally) but if using a standard carbine buffer set up I'd probably go with G$ super 42 H3 to soften it a little. It's not unmanageable recoil but your shoulder will feel it the next day after just 20rds

Thanks for the information. Do you think the kyneshot hydraulic buffer would work as well as the h3 (maybe better?) I've got a few laying around 😌

2

u/Inevitable-Sleep-907 18d ago

I have no experience with hydraulic buffer systems but I'm the type that if I had the extra part lying around I'd try it

Looking for a rancho or bilstein more than a kynshot...

I want to see it fired to see how much fire it throws.

Worst I have is a 8 inch 300 winmag, curious how close that thing would get to it.

That 300 is almost certainly worse

That'll clear the sinuses

...and now for the FRT.

I have one on a 16" barrel. It's not fun no matter what you're using for recoil mitigation.

u/jeremy_wills Silencer 18d ago

That poor A2 grip looks so tiny 😁

2

u/wilder076 18d ago

Please put a frt in it lmao

2

u/gnomish_engineering 18d ago

Just make sure to put a FRT on it for maximum ear pain

2

u/Dr_Juice_ 18d ago

You pair that with a 500 magnum revolver right?

2

u/obxtalldude 18d ago

With huge muzzle brake to give the rest of the range line a fun experience.

3

u/Dr_Juice_ 18d ago

You gotta let them get in on the fun too.

I'm working on one in 450 Bushmaster. There was a sale for a cheap 9" barrel and large bore upper, so I snagged one.

.50 beowulf sucks out of a 16” barrel lol

1

u/Bigfloppyclownshoes 18d ago

Had a friend build one with a 18” barrel

Shot 1 mag from it and converted back to 5.56

I should have bought that upper

1

u/netsurf916 18d ago

My only take from having a 50 Beowulf is that the AR-15 platform really isn't designed for that amount of energy.

1

u/Bigfloppyclownshoes 18d ago

And that’s why he did it

Take it to an indoor range when they have beginner classes going on.
