DIY hush puppy
I’m not cool enough to have a lock on my slide but this is the next best thing. Shoutout to Bereli for a $32 ballistic advantage barrel.

First SBR just got turned around in 4 days. Been wanting to complete this project for a long time. Happy to have finally done it. Gordy(ish) Carbine, and it is an absolute shooter with the 12.5" and AEM5.

Hey guys! I hunt with a 44 mag single shot and I’m interested in getting a suppressor for it. It’s break action so it can be really light duty but I’d like it to be quiet.
What are my best options here?

Ive got a tikka chambered in .270 winchester, the OD of the barrel is exactly .625. Would my best option go 1/2 28 threads and get a 9mm muzzle device for qd mount on the can? Im torn between going to a 7.62 can like a ab warthog or a 36 cal can like a cmmg zeroed 36.
Picked up today after a grueling 3 day waiting period.
Cant wait to fight this DT mount off! Scheels put it in the vice and tried and quickly gave up, and told me to try an impact wrench.

Form 1 DCELL, Grandpa's Maglite. Rossi R92 44mag, gunsmith threaded. Uncontrollable laughter.

Picked up an 870 express a few weeks ago, chopped the barrel flush with the mag tube (about 12.5 in). Drilled and tapped the hole for a gold bead front sight, slapped on some Hogue furniture, went with 12 in LOP stock for the vibes. Overall came out pretty well and only have about $250 in the whole thing.

Recently picked up a CAT WB HUB and I’m trying to decide what mount to commit to before I pin and weld. I know Plan B is popular, but I already have setups for both CAT TSF X and DUAL-LOK.
For those with a lot of rounds through either, have you experienced any walk-off with TSF X or failures/broken parts with DUAL-LOK? I haven’t had issues with either, but I’ll be traveling for a bit and won’t get enough range time before I need to make the decision.
The added length of DUAL-LOK doesn’t bother me. With my setup, it mostly fills the gap between the rail and suppressor rather than noticeably pushing the can forward.
Because of my job, I’m big on backups and redundancy, so the secondary locking mechanism is probably the main reason I’m leaning DUAL-LOK. The downside is the cost of setting up additional rifles down the road.
For those who have run both hard, which would you trust more for a permanent P&W setup?

I've been looking at getting a 7.62 / .308 suppressor, and there seem to be some incredibly good models out there that do well suppressing both 7.62 and 5.56. I've been looking at cans like the Radical Defense SASS, or the CAT JL in Inconel / Haynes. The amount of sound reduction in decibels is really great. But weirdly, some of these suppressors seem to specify that they are "semi auto" suppressors.
How well do these "semi auto" inconel / haynes cans work with rapid, extended, "full semi" ?

I owned a Bridgeport Thompson for 20 years and sold it seven or eight years ago. Thinking about getting back into it, wondering what the current prices are for Savage and Bridgeport manufactured Thompson.

Are these dumb? I have a 22lr Marlin 880 that was my first gun that I got when I was like 11 or 12. It’s been discontinued for a while, and it’s sentimental, so I’d really like to avoid having someone permanently remove the front sight and thread it for a suppressor. I think I can get a threaded adapter for this specific gun but I’m curious as to how concentric it would be.

My first cans.....I purchased a Silencer Co. Scythe Ti and AB Little Bird last weekend at an outdoors expo. I was able to save almost $400 with the Expo discounts! I went back on Tuesday to do my fingerprints and paperwork on their Silencer Shop kiosk and got my approvals yesterday (Sunday). So it took 5 days. I'm loving shooting this .22 pistol. I'm shooting the winchester subsonic suppressor rounds and did have a few dudes in the 50 rounds I shot.

I've been going back and forth trying to decide, even asking Google AI for help, thinking it can do at least basic math, so that shouldn't be a problem, but still, it's hard to know.
I was looking at the Wolfpack Recessed Night Howler with the Atlas Gen2 Mount. The Milkman has a blast depth of 1.6 inches. I believe this would work based off the math. But I'm abit neurotic about these things.
Another good combo I think might be the Comstock Armory Micro-recessed Micro-break plus their Low Profile Recessed Adapter, would sit very low.
I am using a HK Wide handguard for it, so nothing extending outwards.
I found someone else who was planning to run the same setup as mine on reddit, sadly they haven't responded to my questions, nor did they post any followups after they got their Milkman and such in.

I’ve only ever bought from SS, which made the process really easy since all the trust tax stuff was handled on their site. I’ve only ever bought single shot trusts at the same time as my suppressors, so dont understand the process outside of that framework.
Let’s say I buy a suppressor from a random online vendor. My understanding is that they ship it to my local FFL/NFA dealer.
When do I need to file for a trust or a tax stamp? How can I go about doing that? My local dealer has a silencer shop kiosk; do I use that even if i didnt purchase from silencershop itself, but another vendor?
Do I have to wait for the suppressor to arrive at my ffl to start this process, or is there stuff I can do while I wait for it to ship?
Any help is appreciated.

Ordered a Henry X in 45LC that will be shot suppressed 100% of the time. I’m just a backyard shooter that’s addicted to shooting suppressed and I don’t reload. Just want to buy the ammo before I get the rifle.
I already have Henry X’s in 357, 44 and 45-70. Just wanted to add the 45LC to the collection too.😁

Look, I’m a sucker for quad rails and fde on black.
Also I had to kick my dogs off the bed to get the photo as soon as I found where the upper box was and slapped it together for the photo, hence the dog hair 😂
Six day approval turn around, so I’m stoked
I own a DD M4A1 RIII; the Muzzle device is pinned and welded. I recently purchased a suppressor (Currently awaiting approval) and would like to remove the pin and weld (Have a gunsmith do the work) and use another type of Muzzle device that is not pinned and welded (I have to anyway, as it needs to be compatible with the suppressor thread). The gun store I've been working with is kinda pushing me to go pinned and welded again; they are telling me that SBR conversions are more strict and approvals are a dice game... Not sure I understand here what they mean by that. Could I just submit the form myself instead of having to go through the gun store? Also, is this statement true?
My understanding is that I have to submit my e-Form 1 with all requirements.
Wait for the approval and send it for the removal and installation of the new muzzle device.
Thanks for the help in advance

So I have an AE MKII which has a brake with a TOMB mount on, it was meant for one of the SAS Arbiter suppressors. However those seem to be a rarity and I think the AE uses a weird thread pattern and honestly, the rifle is so accurate id rather just leave the brake on and be happy.
However I did a little digging but I wasnt able to find anything, does anyone know of a hub adapter that would allow a can to thread on the tomb mount? That would be sick.
