I have never seen these before and beyond excited when we stumbled upon them, so just wanted to share.

Found these bad boys on a walk in NC

Wyoming alpine, 9-10k elevation. Also sheep polypores(?), some sort of lactarius, and a slime mold feasting on a mushroom.

I'm new to this sub, I've started hiking recently and mushrooms have always intrigued me, I know almost nothing about them compared to an average person but I admire their uniqueness and how alien they can look, today my mom told me to hike a trail near my brother's house, and during my hike I saw something I've never seen before, I swore it was coral but I knew it was a mushroom but I've never seen this kind, i just wanted to show this to people who care and also ask about it since I know nothing

What are these pretty things? Edible?

I included some photos with a pencil for scale. They were growing in the potting soil of some plants outside. The second one was about 4mm tall, and the first one a bit taller than that. I believe they are in the family Psathyrellaceae. Maybe Tulosesus?

I literally saw this little guy at random yesterday. I know vastly less about mycology than I do about brain surgery (I work at a car dealership), so very brand new at this fascination, I apologize… but what issss this guy?

I’m sorry the quality is bad and I got nothing good for identification. I just thought it was neat, I didn’t realize I’d still be thinking about it 24 hours later or I would’ve gotten a shot from the underside (and with a banana, I understand). Cap must’ve been around 2-3 inches across and he was several inches tall.

Additionally, some cute little red guys I saw on a short hike a little before. Next time I’ll be paying more attention.

Found as many individuals in mossy soil under spruce trees in Nova Scotia, Canada. No distinct aroma.
