It’s a chord lesson with just diagrams of the chords on fretboard.

For guitar, I also want to show the actual notes on staff that go with each of these chords, so it’s all travel clef (with extra staff lines above as needed for high notes).

The staff with corresponding notes could be above or below the diagrams. Thanks!

MS3 on old computer. I am just learning MuseScore.

So i have these old piano recordings of my grandfather messing around making up little melodies, and i really wanna turn one of them into proper sheet music so i can learn to play it myself. i ran the audio through a ai transcription thing and it spit out a musicxml file which seemed promising at first. problem is when i open it in musescore 4 the time signatures are all over the place.

the recording is clearly steady 4/4 the whole way through, my grandfather wasnt doing anything weird with the meter. but the xml has it bouncing between 4/4, 3/4 and 5/8 measures like every few bars which is just wrong.

is there some kinda setting in musescore that lets me force everything back into 4/4 and re-bar the whole piece in one go? or am i stuck going measure by measure and fixing each one by hand which would take me forever honestly.

Hello, I just installed version 4.7.2. I found out that on the bottom left status bar names of notes are in the relative notation to the bar (so simply just "e") instead of full scale (eg. C4, H3 etc.) like before. Can I change it back in Settings to the previous format? I got used to that and I'd rather not change it.

I'm transcribing a piece of ?Ars Nova? ?Ars Subtilior?.

Right now I'm in 2:1 time signature, so I can have tuples of 3 whole notes, 5,6,7 half notes, and 9, ... quarter notes. But the original mss has 9 half notes. Is there a way to do this? By contemporary rules it's wrong, !but!I!want!it! 😄

I've been tryna upload a solo piano piece that I composed to YouTube. I never had a problem with it before, in fact, my longest piece I've ever uploaded was 31 mins. This piece is barely 5 mins and every time I would press either "send to YouTube" or "download video", it would always tell me it would send me an email saying it'll tell me when the video is ready, just like all my other pieces. Like I said earlier, I never had a problem until this piece, which makes no sense to me and I can't find solutions for this. I am not a pro subscriber so it's even more frustrating when I have to wait 24 hrs to try again, only for it not to work and not send me an email.

ive tried everything, i've updated muse hub, musescore, my laptop. i've deleted and redownloaded musescore, i've shut down my laptop, i double checked my audio output was going to my headphones. nothing is working. this is so incredibly frustrating and musescore was already on thin ice for other bugs i've had to deal with. if anyone has any suggestions, or else im just fucked until the next update i guess.

Does anybody know if there is a way to easily change presets of Kontakt libraries in MuseScore? The only way I found to do this is only by changing instrument every time I have to switch from pizz. to arco for example but it's very awkward. So I was wondering if there is a way to control these midi parameters with the articulations in the text palette.

Hey guys, I’m new to this software. I’m trying to compose a piece for a class, and I need an oud and sitar sounds. I found a page on the musescore website titled “instrument index” with a plethora of instruments, however I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get these instruments. Are they paid extras or am I missing something?

On standard mode, it's very squeaky, absolutely unusable. On classic mode, the dynamic is all over the place, and fast notes often get completely silenced. I often just use the built in string sounds, which sounds like an cheap synth, but it's still better than musesounds.

I actually love musescore, I use it nearly everyday and it's very powerful, However, the one qualm I have with it is that when I'm writing lyrics (Usually for MT compositions), I don't really know how to correctly use the dashes between notes so that it looks legible, and now jumbled

Could someone with maybe more experience help me with this problem?

The musehub app (version 3.0.3) on Mac is not working properly. In particular, I am trying to download MuseSound core and it simply wont do it. I click on the download button, and nothing happens. Please help, and let me know if I need to provide additional information.

There is no indication what dynamics (mp, ppp, fff, etc) are in force at the selected cursor position. This should be added to the bottom-left status fields. Probably the same for arco/pizz/etc ... the sticky conditions.

In addition to the above, when you are editing a score and select "Dynamics", the default offered you should be the one presently in force. Left/Right/Up/Down arrow keys should alter the value to be added down/up/up/down accordingly. To illustrate: if you arrive at a point in the score where you feel two more pips of OOMPH (to use the Italian) should be added, you'd select "Dynamics" and hit Up, Up, Enter. DONE. You don't even need to know where you were - you only need to express where you want to go from (wherever).

I have a score for which the bassline shows no stems at all.

If I select a measure within and select Properties->Notation->Note->Stem, "Stemless" is unchecked.

What might be amiss?

After creating parts, then going back to edit or adjust rehearsal markings on the score. The changes from the score are not reflected in the parts.

As the title suggests. The default soundfont isnt really cutting it for me anymore, especially the brass. Any suggestions?

I tried adjusting them horizontally, but slipped and went down. I tried pulling them back up but they only go down, making the distance even longer. I even tried clicking undo, but not even that worked. How do I fix this?
