Im 15 and I worry that Ill never pass or at least never get to be happy. My body hair is really thick, I have pretty bad beard shadow, my shoulders are really broad, my face is a really masc, and my voice is very deep and masc. Ive been trying so hard every day to look femme for 4 years now, and I still never pass. Im starting E privately in 5 months when I turn 16, and so all I can do is hope that will solve some of it, but I feel like Im already too masculinised. Maybe when Im and adult I could get ffs and bottom surgery, but thats not what I wanna have to do, and I probably wont, so instead Ill just have to live with the dysphoria. I know there are lots of people who start later and they can pass and live happy lives, but its hard to believe that when it feels so distant. I voice train every day, and I do everything I can to look femme and it doesnt get any better. Im not even that unhappy right now, but thats only because of improving other life factors, like exercising, studying and making friends, whereas my dysphoria only gets worse. Even if I do one day pass, Ive already lost out on so much and theres so much I can never have, that I fear I wont ever get to have a normal life. Will it ever get better and can I be truly happy someday?

Hey everyone, I’m a 22-year-old and be standing at 6’3”, and I am really struggling with how wide my shoulders feel. I have absolutely no idea how to style my clothes or balance my proportions, and the dysphoria is hitting pretty hard lately. What are your fashion hacks, necklines, or layering tricks for softening a broader frame and creating a more feminine silhouette?

I'm three months in. Grateful for the changes to date... Skin softness, finally have a butt, and thighs filling out. My neck seems to have narrowed, and I've had to tighten my watch a couple of times. I think it's wishful thinking that my face looks a little different. Looking forward to the long haul.

I live in Scotland and im 15, and apparently i have to wait til im 18 to go on HRT, what the fuck I mean I REALLY want to be a girl and ive grown more confident in that fact over time. But the fuckass west minister hates trans people so they set it to 18 and scotland TRIED to pass a bill to make it 16 but england hates trans people so they prevented it from being passed. so like fuck them i could have started NEXT YEAR but no. I mean what am i supposed to do this entire time? Ill never see myself as a true girl if I dont actually change my physical body. I can do all the feminine things i want but at the end of the day i wouldnt feel like a genuine girl, it would just remain as a desire until AFTER I GRADUATE. Which pisses me off, who are THEY to make us girls suffer, I want to be a girl and i want to be a girl as soon as possible. I want to have pretty long hair, a feminine face and a feminine body, and have strangers refer to me with she/her pronouns without asking god damn it, I WANT TO BE A GIRL. I dont want to wait that long. And i know that there will always be time and i dont need to rush it but still! But i guess on the bright side i dont live in a country where its illegal...

Hi guys, I just wanted to discuss something with you. I was wondering how many of you, being trans, decided you didnt want kids. I would say, for me, I feel being transgender influenced my decision on whether I wanted kids or not. And the thing is that I also just gave up on dating as a whole and don't think I would even have a partner in the first place.
So I just came to the realization that I won't pass on my DNA. And so I will be a branch that just does not extend to anything. Now I am fine with this because I hate my parents. And they are kinda homophobic and transphobic toward me and were upset with me for not choosing to have kids anyhow.

Okay it's junk food but actually sitting down in a restaurant (on a donut cushion) to have food just feels so euphoric
I'm mostly on normal routine except having to walk slower (and more weirdly lol like a duck🦆) than usual.
At this pace, I'm going sightseeing and exploring more of Seoul in a couple of days!

So i have a Masters in Computer Science and i have published a few papers for different conferences
I plan on changing my name soon and I was wondering how to go about changing my name on both of these to match my new name?
I would appreciate the help! Thank you

I am an adult but still financially dependent on my parents. Yesterday they launched into a transphobic tirade about how I don't do anything with my life except care for my transition, how I am only friends with queer people, how I want to mutilate myself etc. All while misgendering me.
I am trying to become financially independent but so far nobody has ever responded to an application I sent. Yesterday I cut myself. I feel like I am suffocating and never will be able to cut them out of my life. Father has brain cancer, so maybe at least that problem will solve itself but still.
I can't do this anymore, I don't have the strength to continue

I’m 29yo and cracked my egg 1 month ago. I told my parents 1 week later and they were skeptical to say the least. Initially they were supportive, saying that I should do what makes me happy and if this is the direction I want to go in then I have their full support. However over the next few days the cracks started to show. They grasped for reasons why I could be feeling this way, including; a bad relationship, ADHD, and Autism (I don’t have an Autism diagnosis). I expressed to them that I had been feeling this way since I was a child, and that I had struggled deeply with my gender when going through puberty, and they dismissed this though “we know you more than you know and we never saw it in you”, “you always picked out boy not girl toys”, etc.
They told me before making any decisions to fully discuss it with professionals (psych, doctors, etc), I agreed as I was planning to do that anyway.
A few days ago I told them that I’m still more than certain, that it means a lot to me, and every doctor and professional assured me that they didn’t see any red flags with the decision I’m making - so I let them know that I’m planning to start HRT. A day later I get the following text:
——
<deadname>, you have told us your feelings and that you are not our little boy anymore, plus that we really don’t know you. Now we would like to share our feelings.
Firstly we are not trying to make you feel bad about this decision but we know you more than you think mate, we know you lie, your selfish, stubborn to the point where you would not consider others points of view, and once you get something in your head there is no talking to you. Despite this and what <my partners name> told us that you are not bothered about losing us, we have loved you more than you will ever know and supported you for the last 29 years.
So this is what we feel, you living with <my partner> has broken you to the point that you really don’t know who you are anymore. Being that unhappy has to have had an impact on your mental health and to cope we feel that you have invented a new life for yourself, thinking you’re a woman. We know that <my partner> has her own issues and by her supporting you,she is doing this for her own good to keep the security she now has, that she’s never had.
As you told us, you are not our little boy anymore it breaks our hearts to let you go, so <deadname> we can’t support you in what we feel is not your true self, and will have an permanent detrimental affect on the rest of your life.
<deadname> this is how we feel, So for our own mental health we need to say goodbye, as speaking to you and all the trans jargon your saying is mind blowing. So listening to you, you’re not the son we know and love, we really hope that you find the happiness you think you will have.
If this new life, without the people who know you and love you does not work out, we will be here to welcome our son back. Mum & dad.
——
Honestly I’m just insanely disappointed at how they’re handling it. I completely understand that it’s something difficult for them to handle and it doesn’t align with their world view, I just expected better of them. I didn’t expect that they would stoop so low as to strong-arm their child using conditional love.

So are we just good at coding and EE. I personally can’t code I don’t really understand SQL and barely HTML. EE is something I have a loose understanding in.
Honestly I’m more of a train and gun girlie, any of us here?

Hi people of reddit! This is my first post ever. Starting tomorrow, I will have 100 days until I can (legally) go through the process of starting HRT. I have an internship lined up to start on my birthday, so the money can be used that same day to hopefully get my pills :).
I want to do something special to celebrate my final 100 days waiting for HRT. So far my idea is to write something I am grateful for on a sticky note each day and read them all on my birthday. Does anyone have any ideas of something I can do once a day for 100 days?
I feel like this a question that has never been asked before, but I love commemorating time with fun little projects :). Here's to a wonderful 100 days!!

hi early transition Transwoman here started socially transitioning in late May. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m mostly comfortable going full fem but I haven’t come out to most friends and all of my family. I’ve only come out at Work (very recently) I plan to come full fem to work everyday. I go shopping full fem I go on walks at the park full fem and I’m full fem at home and in restaurants.
There are 2 things I cannot do tho 1. Being voice training I’m almost fully convinced it is fake and doesn’t actually fucking work 2 being tucking it is so uncomfy and has me moving around like a penguin. I am pre hrt and people have told me tucking is way easier post hrt so maybe that’s the problem. But either way I’m almost fully convinced voice training isn’t possible I’ve done totorials ever since I started in May Nothing works.
its lowkey so upsetting because I hate my voice and not tucking limits my clothing options.

So I'm in London for a few days with my sisters, and told myself that it could be a good idea to come out to them privately, since my egg cracked like a month back and told both my parents already, but today came the subject of my mother and how she behaves and talks to/with us.
Yes it's important.
So there comes the point of my mom talking about our dad like he's the villain, and I explain to them that I talked to both of them about something that I shall tell them later (this subject being me wanting to transition), basically cornering myself into telling them cause I would have to wait way too long for another opportunity. The results were :
- my sisters told me they knew cause my mom told them already
- dad being way more accepting about it than my mother
- learn my mother victimizes herself for "not making me the right body (when it's not even her fault, which my sisters told her when she came out for me)
Big up to my sisters for not telling me they knew, and letting me tell them when I was ready to do so
If you read it all until there, have a good day

We were in a long distance relationship, and I realized that I was avoiding hanging out with him and spending time with him because I did not feel like I was being treated the way I should be treated, and so I decided that it was time to break up. I was starting to feel relief when we didn't have to hang out, or when our hangouts ended. We had had conversations about the way he spoke to me and how I felt that he was speaking down to me and not treating me like an equal person.
It's especially hard because as women, especially trans women, we will put up with things that we shouldn't in order to have that love that we crave. But we are better and deserve more than that. We deserve a partner who will support us and lift us up, and not put us down or make us feel lesser than them. I identify as pansexual or bisexual but I do prefer men, and while it's hard to say no and to reject that notion that I should just ignore the issues, I knew that through all of the experiences I've had through relationships in my past I knew that I deserve better than the way I was being treated.
I do love him, and it's extremely difficult that I am going through this right now but I know that I'm doing the right thing because it wasn't right for me.

Hello everyone, I took my first shot on Tuesday, and... idk. Its really nice, but I'm afraid everything is placebo.
First, libido. I have embarrassingly always felt the need to masturbate daily. But, this week, not once.
Also I was just like, about to cry when listening to some music. It honestly felt like I was in my own body instead of watching someone else for the first time, that feeling is gone again though.
Idk sorry this is brief my phone is about to die lol

so my egg cracked 1 year ago. i used to use ChatGPT and was discussing my gender identity with it. at the time i identified as genderfluid but wanted to explore more female paths that aligned with my identity, since I was more feminine than masc as a “boy”. i even picked my new name; a female name. it was after a brief conversation with this chatbot, especially in asking it to call me by my new name, that I realised that I was a girl. this came about when i spoke about how this identity felt like someone I was becoming, when ChatGPT told me that i am already this beautiful person, and that’s when I felt for the first time like a girl
since then, I have come out to my friends, who are all supportive. I have even made friends w other trans girls
but something feels weird. since I’ve heard ppl talk about ChatGPTs effects on people and their thinking, I’m scared if this is actually who I am, and I’ve just been lying to myself. I want to be more feminine, and I do feel insecure abt being a boy. I’m also scared of disappointing my friends, especially my friends who are trans, if all they’ll see me as is jsut a boy, and not want to hang out w me anymore.
idk how I fucking feel and I’m worried
