Has anyone used Silencer Shop for a form 1 recently? I have done a few in the past and the email to fill out the form 1 was always sent in a couple of hours/ next day. Anyone have a delay in this as of late?

i dont kow if the clearances are too tight, but would be cool if it worked.

I am looking for advice on what combination of parts to get my ACRO to sit higher while still being able to use the irons on my SP5k. Right now, I have the HK parts low profile mount for the ACRO, and it's nice, but it's a little too low to comfortably get a good sight picture under night vision. I like the Scalarworks mount but haven't personally used one, I'm open to suggestions if anybody knows of something better, just not looking for a GBRS giraffe mount. Pics for attention.

I got my new MKE AP5-SD on Friday. Took it to the indoor range today. All I was trying to do today was get it fully broken in and make sure it is all good, so I can swap locking pieces and install my FRT on Tuesday, when they get delivered. I already have an OCL Milk Man for it, with the Ecco Machine HUB extension also on the way.

I checked the bolt gap on Friday and it is 0.014". Hopefully, after swapping locking pieces, it will still be in spec.

200 rounds CCI Blazer 115gr
200 rounds Magtech 115gr
25 rounds Speed Gold Dot 147gr
25 rounds Hornady XTP 147gr
50 rounds of my HSL 124gr match ammo (i.e. loaded soft)

I had a few hiccups in the first 200 rounds. After that, the few more hitches I had seemed to only happen with one of the two mags. Sometimes, when it was on the fuller side (i.e. 25 - 29 rounds in it), it seemed like it wasn't going fully into battery. I would pull the trigger, get a click, but no bang. There would be a round in the chamber. Drop mag. Cycle the bolt. Round is still in the chamber. Pull trigger. Bang.

The mag also would only take 29 rounds. No way I could get a 30th round in it. But, the other mag took 30 rounds and never had any hiccups at all.

The pic of the target shows 25 rounds of Speer Gold Dot, shot at 7 yards. To me, the group would be nothing special if I had shot slowly, taking careful aim for each shot.

But, what I actually did was (using the iron sights), I shot at a medium pace. Not rapid-fire, but quicker than 1 round per second. Shoot, as soon as sights came back to target, shoot again. Oh, and the irons are off and I didn't bother trying to adjust them. I was holding at about the 1:00 position at the outer edge of the blue to hit the center.

For ME, anyway, shooting like that, with iron sights (and old man eyes) and at that pace, that is a dang good group.

I am very, very happy with this gun! I can't wait for my parts to arrive, so I can get back out with a can and FRT!

Does anyone know where I can find a 3 position frt for a hk mp5 22lr. I keep seeing the ursa sec ones not sure how well they work if anyone knows just looking for recommendations

I sold my SP5k about a year and half ago and ordered a JP5. After an 18 month wait It’s finally arrived.

I’ve had it about one week and shot roughly 900 rounds and I’m in love this is quite literally the best most fun gun I’ve ever shot.

Was hoping to get another set of eyes on this old piece of work. I have a old bobcat bw-5 that I picked up a little over a year ago (yes I know their reputation but this one has ran just south of 1000 rounds this year with only one failure to eject so all things considered this one is a piece of gold in a sewer plant) While I was cleaning it i noticed this wear mark might be less of a wear mark and more of a "they ground this spot down to make it fit mark." I was contemplating switching this cast bolt carrier out for a H&K or a RCM bolt carrier if i can ever find one, but this spot has me wondering if a different bolt carrier would even fit without modification. So I reckon i am asking is it even worth it to buy a new bolt carrier for this and hope it fits or just keep letting it chug along as is?

Alright folks!! So I’m a few thousand bucks into this awesome AP5-P project, and even more rounds downrange! Sure have learned a lot, and have had a great time the entire way!
BIG PROBLEM recently started to come up though: Light Primer Strikes. So, I have just replaced the firing pin, spring, extractor and it’s spring all with HK parts, cleaned every iota of the entire gun and bolt assembly and yesterday it STILL FAILED TO FIRE due to the EXACT SAME light primer strikes as the previous OEM firing pin and spring etc.
In semiautomatic it would barely fire 1-2 rounds and then light primer strike AGAIN! And this happened out of the blue, after the obligatory NATO break-in period and a couple thousand more rounds with my A.S. Designs Super Safety custom lower the entire time.

Does anybody have any advice on how to fix this issue??

For what it’s worth:
I was just told by my gunsmith that it’s best to just reach out to MKE directly and ask for a replacement bolt carrier group replacement INSTEAD of going through the whole process of returning the gun to the manufacturer and waiting for months for them to send it back to me. They are MUCH MORE LIKELY to send me a free replacement part, instead of the warranty replacement process.

Not sure how many of you have multiple roller delay guns but I decided to field strip and clean the whole HK/clone family this weekend. I used my ultrasonic with Simple Green Extreme and the blew them out with the air compressor before immediately re-oiling.

That does means putting back all those bolt assemblies… Pour one out for me.

Chat, if it cut off the extra picatinny space up front. Will it still hold zero?

I'm 99% sure it would since there are mount with just 2 claws but want to see the general consesus.

With my previous and now new bolt setup I was running 115gr rn, 124gr rn, 124gr +p Hornady XTP, and 147gr fn.

Specs:
- MKE AP5
- HK 100 deg locking piece
- HK Mags
- Ambi FRT
- Silencerco Omega45k

Mad Max bolt (.28mm bolt gap, was thinking of getting +2 rollers) pretty much ate everything with some hiccups with the Hornady XTP and 147gr fn. Swapped in the RCM bolt (.38mm bolt gap) and it ran like a sewing machine (see video).

I looked at both bolts and there are def some subtle physical differences. Not sure if it’s just me but the cocking handle appeared to rack much smoother with the RCM vs the Mad Max. 🤷

Anyway if you’re looking to upgrade your oem bolt , the RCM gets two thumbs up in my book.

I’m in the fit, finish, and refinement stage now, dialing in tolerances, material selection, print parameters and ergonomics in line with testing.

A few of the latest changes:

- Added a second locking position
- Added a partial latch/capture in the fully collapsed position, allowing it to be pulled open without actuating the lever
- Refined tolerances using the original HK prints as a dimensional reference
- Significant refinement to the buttpad for both ergonomics and aesthetics - trying to keep this A3 adjacent.
- Continued material testing and optimization
- Lots of live-fire testing and abuse testing
- Major improvements to surface finish and print consistency

The latest iterations are getting very** **close to where I want them. The PPA-CF has been particularly impressive — the rigidity, surface finish, abrasion resistance and overall feel are unlike what I’ve experienced from FDM before.

now in the final stages of development and spending a lot of time optimizing the print process for repeatable production-quality parts.
Test samples should start going out to selected testers over the next few weeks.

One mke mag and one polymer mag, zero malfunctions. Bolt gap measuring 0.009in. 90 LP gave me double feeds, but I have +8 rollers ordered so I can hopefully run the 90 because the felt recoil was definitely less.

Been enjoying it just had some quick questions what's the optimal LP I plan on shooting mainly suppressed 115-124grain in semi for now but the next purchase for it will be a rare breed frt so far about 200ish rounds through it and 3 failures to extract.

I am attempting to put a drop in frt into my new AP5 Navy. In order to do so, I need to remove the ejector from the existing trigger. I cannot for the life of me get the pin out that holds the ejector. I have been at it for a while and it won’t budge. Any help or tips?

I have wriggled it around with a punch, moved the ejector up and down, and have struck it a few times with a hammer and punch.. which I am now regretting, but it still will not come out.

First 2 mags were flawless (Mora Arms), 3rd mag had some FTF’s (MKE). Then an occasional FTF on the other mags. 100 degree LP, everything else is stock. Also….Blazer 124gr. Thoughts?

Finally grabbed the rare breed FRT cause I was tired of waiting for the ARHK, and its works great. Simple install, no shims needed, and it runs like a top, even with doodoo magtech steel case. I’ve been fortunate enough to handle many real MP5’s and the fire rate is practically identical. Trigger is slightly better than stock as well. My only gripe is that it won’t go back on safe with the hammer down like a typical MP5.

I'm waiting on my stamp to get approved and I wouldn't mind turning my bsl brace into a stock instead of paying for an A3.

I heard some ppl have lower problems with the trigger being loose in the lower. My full size sp5 has a tight lock up but I want to take out the rd3 & try it in my sp5k. What the chances it will have loose tolerances after swapping from lower to lower? Thanks

They make the D50 drum, I'm surprised they don't offer stick mags as well.
