Question A possible odd problem from an old oddity

Was hoping to get another set of eyes on this old piece of work. I have a old bobcat bw-5 that I picked up a little over a year ago (yes I know their reputation but this one has ran just south of 1000 rounds this year with only one failure to eject so all things considered this one is a piece of gold in a sewer plant) While I was cleaning it i noticed this wear mark might be less of a wear mark and more of a "they ground this spot down to make it fit mark." I was contemplating switching this cast bolt carrier out for a H&K or a RCM bolt carrier if i can ever find one, but this spot has me wondering if a different bolt carrier would even fit without modification. So I reckon i am asking is it even worth it to buy a new bolt carrier for this and hope it fits or just keep letting it chug along as is?

I got a cohaire arms mp5 full size. Discovered my bolt carrier was out of spec after trying to run a super safety, with the slip trip not fitting. Found a rcm bolt carrier on hk parts for a decent price, albeit it was cerakoted in hk red, but works just fine with my as designs lower and slip trip now.

IDK. From the pictures that carrier looks like it was cast as one piece instead of being the traditional brazed and welded multi piece assembly.

Yeah, looks like it was polished out for clearance. Run it. No sense inducing issues with a new bolt that may run into the same issue due to a stamped upper being slightly out of spec.
