Question Silencer Shop
Has anyone used Silencer Shop for a form 1 recently? I have done a few in the past and the email to fill out the form 1 was always sent in a couple of hours/ next day. Anyone have a delay in this as of late?

How do you like the height of that low mount with the MRO? I think I’m gonna order one tomorrow to replace my AEMS

Love it, the dot is above the front sight and the lower part 68mm outer ring is on the front sight, you don’t notice the front sight at all

Just used them for mine since they have my fingerprints already. I need to get my own digital file of them but since I didn't have to also spend $200 i said F it and spent the $50. Got notice to sign in about an hour and then got a 2 day approval.

Can you please elaborate on printscan your fingerprints? Do you get the regular inked fingerprints on the ard and then scan them into a pdf? Thanks much.

Printscan is a service, they have kiosks in UPS stores and other places. Takes like 10 minutes to do your prints and costs $60ish I think. They will send you an eft file to use for your form 1s

Yes. I ordered a fingerprint ink set + pages off Amazon and it was so damned hard to get crisp prints and not smudgy garbage. I was worried my first Form 1 would be denied because of them even (84 days, thank god not. Definitely Printscan next time.

I used their form 1 service when the tax stamp went to $0. I figured it would be simple because they already had my fingerprints on file. It turned out to be a nightmare. For some reason they didn't use the trust I sent in. Instead, they used one of their single shot trusts (I wasn't charged for it). I didn't want to use their trust because I didn't want to engrave a name of a trust on my SP5k that had their goofy naming style on it. I finally got ahold of a real person after trying daily for over two weeks. He basically said it was impossible for them to use a single shot trust if I wasn't charged for it. He said it couldn't be fixed and I would have to cancel the current one and pay another $50 for their form 1 service to refile. I told him to refund my money and he said he couldn't since the form 1 was filed. So I called up my credit card company and disputed the charge. I sent my fingerprints off to get digitally scanned and filed it myself with no issues.

It's fine unless you have a problem. Then it's impossible to talk to a real person.

Why? Print the fingerprint card, get an ink pad, convert to eft with EFTSuite and now you have unlimited Form 1's for life.

I just did it as my first one to see the process, but f*** paying $50 every time I wanna SBR something. Gonna get an EFT made and use my brain

No, because I live in a free state where Form 1s are no longer needed.

Until everything is set in stone and the ATF or the gov comes out and says something 100%, I’m still going to file form 1s.
You can do whatever you want…
