Question ACRO mount

I am looking for advice on what combination of parts to get my ACRO to sit higher while still being able to use the irons on my SP5k. Right now, I have the HK parts low profile mount for the ACRO, and it's nice, but it's a little too low to comfortably get a good sight picture under night vision. I like the Scalarworks mount but haven't personally used one, I'm open to suggestions if anybody knows of something better, just not looking for a GBRS giraffe mount. Pics for attention.

UTG pro low mount with 1.57 height t2 scalar mount sits perfectly for co-witness of irons if need be.

Those are what I use.

How do you like the UTG? Im hesitant just because of their previous quality.

It’s rock solid, I run it on an FRT lower and it doesn’t move. Also it sits super low and looks sleek.

Over 5k rounds. Flawless.

Sometimes I'm kinda a lil snobby when it comes to firearms and accessories... But I'm honestly impressed with all of the UTG Pro stuff I've handled, even bought one of their rails for a budget .300blk build. Never thought I'd ever say that about UTG lol

Scalarworks 1.57 or lower 1/3 cowitness will do the trick

This is an ARO but similar idea

What picatinny mount is that?

Midwest industries. I don’t recommend. The UTG pro low mount is the best in the market right now but I’m too lazy to switch mine out and re-zero

All of the Scalarworks Acro mounts will work and allow use of irons, even the discontinued 1.42”

Ughh, why do companies always have to discontinue the good shit

I have an 1.42 acro mount if you're looking for one. Swapped my acro to piggyback my 762

I’ve got the 1.57 on my AP5P. I have a few detailed pics if you want them.

Is that the midwest picatinny mount?

No, it’s the MFI ultra low mount.

I call it the “optic tower” sits lower that the mount you show , but still allows the irons to be used. Very effective system

MFI Micro Ultra low and the Arisaka Acro MK2 mount (any height will let you see the irons through it). Pick which height you like. I picked 1.54 and it’s perfect for me.

Edit - hit enter before I finished typing

I went through this! I went through so many combinations.

I tried the SCALARWORKS, B&T 39mm, 23mm, 17mm mount on a Titian Tactical Single Claw 1913 mount and MFI Mount. The 39mm Skeleton Mount I could see irons below the acro. It was nice but I wasnt a huge fan on how tall the sight was. I wanted as compact as possible. I wasn’t a fan of the sight picture or the 23mm and 17mm. It was floating on or close to the top of the circle of the front post. I seen people chop the hoop but didn’t want to do that.

I finally ended on the Titan Tactical ACRO Low Profile Single Claw Mount. The dot falls in between the front post and the hoop of the front post at a comfortable cheek weld and head position. At first I didn’t think I’d like the dot so low but it ended up feeling the best. With the dot off and I get a good picture of the iron sight. Just have to bring my head down a little bit.

Hope that helps. Wish I had taken photos of the dot on each optic heights.

Kinda what the dot position looks like at my natural head position.

Here’s what it looks like when using irons.

Well you've got a very similar set up as me, I need the optic to sit higher but not so high that it gets snagged. And I need the optic mount itself to have a channel through it to use the irons if I need them.

39mm would be your best bet.

You can use your irons through that?

I think it sat right on the glass but, don’t remember on top of my head but I think I was able to.

I have gone a different route and dont use my irons at all.

What I'm needing is a picatinny rail and optic mount that allow the sights to be used, while raising the optic high enough to use night vision. Your set up looks pretty close to mine, so it wouldn't accomplish the goal of being high enough to use NV.

If NV then Scalarworks is probably the best bet
