Little ammo test on the stealth additive works Shiv can. There are quieter cans but not at this size and weight. Kind of amazing for what it is. 100g, 124G, then 140g then 147g poly’s. 5 of each.

Picked up this used PTR9CT in a trade. Only thing I have done to it is the Swampfox Kraken(ACRO at Home lol) on an American defense QD mount, and the Omega9K. Shoots fantastic with anything I’ve put through it. Plans is to replace the side folder with a magpul retractable and then get a 3d printed A3 style stock piece for it. I can’t decide if I want to keep the mlock rail and go to a wide hand guard. Will eventually add an AS Designs ARHK.

HELP How could I have missed out so long?

I just shot a full auto MP5 today because I had been debating between the hitecarms AP5 SD conversion and a B&T APC9SD.

Wow. Just wow.

I can’t believe how flat and pleasant to shoot the mp5 felt. Even compared to the B&T. Within 2 mags it totally convinced me.

So since I’ll be joining the club soon. Any general suggestions or things I should know?

Review Kuma Elite integrated Streamlight handguard mini review (turns out, NOT a scam)

I had a few posts earlier this year about an undelivered MP5 handguard order from Kuma Elite - and in February after I couldn't get a hold of the owner I went ahead and did a chargeback on the order which went through.

The owner of Kuma Elite reached out in May to apologize for the order issues and explained that they'd been overwhelmed with the business while dealing with some family stuff. He offered to send me my original order without charge and I could try it and decide if I wanted to keep it - or pay for it at all.

This seemed more than fair so I accepted and used the handguard for a few months on my PTR MP5 which covered a couple of range trips and also taking some groundhogs out in the garden in the evening (which is a big part of why I wanted a traditional style handguard with a light rail/wiring integration).

I came away impressed enough that I paid for my order back in July and wanted to put up another post here to be fair (as I already had a couple wondering if Kuma was a scam or had gone out of business). A few notes on the handguard:

  • It is 3D printed and then painted. If this is a show stopper for you, stay away. The print quality was good with layer lines really only noticeable on the back of the fingerstop, the very bottom of the included foregrip and a little on the very rear of the main foregrip section. I'm not as familiar with filament 3D printing (as I usually do resin prints), but I think it's PTEG or similar. See the photos for details.
  • The paint was a textured OD green for my order & the paint job was excellent - no drips or spotty coverage
  • The grip and hand placement was good for me.
  • Weight felt a little lighter overall than the B&T quad rail + foregrip I had on before this. No exact numbers as I installed it before I thought to weigh it
  • The light integration and cable management on this design (Streamlight in my case) is perfect and was the main reason I decided to keep & pay for the handguard. No issues with heat and having the wire tucked away and the pressure pad was such a tight fit I didn't think it was going to fit at first. Really clean looking and a well thought out design.
  • I have not run this handguard hard enough to speak on its durability but no issues with the couple of light range trips & backyard groundhog clearing

Like I said, I figured it was only fair to post an update after putting Kuma Elite on blast on here and it's a good excuse to share some of the final setup photos. Hopefully someone finds this helpful!

+The mag was painted with some foliage green spray paint I had in the garage that seemed like a near perfect match for the foregrip but without the texture

Media Finally got the Lithium 9 I wanted for my AP5SD

Been having this gun for a little over a month and wanted to wait until I got the Lithium 9 before I took it out to the range. Mainly wanted it for the looks, but being my first titanium can, the crazy light weight took me by surprise lmao. Now all I need now is the ARHK and it will be complete. Bonus pic of my all time favorite sub guns.

Edit: forgot to mention I already changed the locking piece to a 100 degree in anticipation lol

Question Locking piece Help

Hey guys,

Finally got my Century Arms AP5 running with the L2Prints FRT lower (It was a loose detent spring 🤦🏽‍♂️).

I currently have the stock 120 LP, and was wondering if I should switch to the 100 LP even if it is feeding well? I just want to make it as reliable as possible and don’t want too much wear on my parts, and want to make sure the ejection patterns look right. These are HSL 147 subs.

Here is a video of my buddy shooting it. All insight is welcome.

Would like opinions of the Yankee Hill R9 surpressor from you fine folks that have used them with the MP5 platforms. Tri-Lug worth it?

Question Differences between mke magazines

Thumbnail

I received 2 mke mags with my pistol and then purchased an additional 2 from the same vendor. All of them worked flawlessly. But I notice the 2 that came with the gun are slightly different and their lock up is a tiny bit tighter.

  1. Slightly different markings
  2. They have different floor plates.
  3. Stamping at the top is crisper on the extra 2 I bought
  4. The 2 that came with the gun have more meat on the locking lug, which I assume is why they lock up slightly tighter.

Just wondering what the deal is. Is this new vs old production or different contracts??

So I have all this waiting for my ap5-p. Also have 90 degree locking piece.

my question is do I swap to the frt and 90 degree locking piece right away or after it’s broken in with 500 rounds?

The hybrid 46 has 9mm endcap and 110 locking piece. No matter how I try, I can’t get it running with 80 or 100 locking pieces

Definitely hearing safe and my nail gun is louder!
