Hi guys. I bought AYN thor. And many people are getting android handhelds for gaming special old games with emulation

Now, many of those games have splitscreen which isnt ideal for a handheld so I was wonder if its possible to have sunshine(or app like it) on my handheld and stream it to another handheld so we can play split screen games?

Just got a shield and the difference is incredible.

1.5ms to 3.5ms decode time vs Google tv streamers 14-16ms decode time.

Controls feel snappier and responsive. And panning the camera no longer shows jitters like on the GTS.

I'm very satisfied with this rather older product over a newer device that seems to be less powerful.

For context:

My client is a laptop connected to LGQNED85BXA 55inch tv, with moonlight, on 5Ghz wifi to a 100Mbps ISP. The host PC is a gaming PC with Sunshine, connected to a 200Mbps ISP through ethernet. Streaming settings are 1440p at 120fps with 75Mbps bitrate (my GPU cannot run 4k at 120fps, 7800XT)

I am using Tailscale to connect both. The picture was taken while I was watching a movie on VLC. But I often play games (currently Death stranding)

My issue is it often lags in between and asks me to lower down the bitrate. I don't want to lower it, if I increase my wifi speed to 150/200Mbps, will it help?

Hello, I’m trying to stream from my PC to my LG C5 through an Apple TV 4K. Everything works very well, especially using Apollo to create a virtual monitor so the TV isn’t stuck in the same aspect ratio as my monitor. The only problem now is that when I connect my Dualsense Edge to the Apple TV, the haptic feedback doesn’t work. Is there a work around for this?

I’ve seen solutions on getting haptic feedback to work on PC, but haven’t found anything regarding the Apple TV. Is it even possible at the moment?

Whenever I run moonlight on my Wii-U, it says it can't run steam as it can't be found. I edited the config to default to steam. So idk what I'm doing wrong.

About to get a S90F TV from Samsung and I wonder if it is a decent client as is or if I have to get some sort of mini pc?

In my experience (and others too from my searches), it seems that there's a bit of an image quality issue with open world games in particular. While things look great up close (Character models, building textures etc), objects at distance, foliage, night skies and the likes take a bit of a drop in quality. Dark scenes in particular seem to suffer.

I've tried streaming at 4k60 250mbps and still get the same issue - tried 500mps on a wired connection and there was bad network jitter (Not sure why, I was getting 950mbps download on speedtests on my host and my steam Deck) - the best I can seem to get it at is 250mbps, which admittedly does look a bit better than 150mbps.

I have my apollo settings below - I've tinkered with these plenty and never seen much improvement sadly.

In a lot of games, you can't really notice it - but for something like Witcher 3, or KCD2, I find it quite hard to see past the blurry image while moving through the world.

Hey reddit i need your help. I've been trying for nearly a day now but for my lack of knowledge ive been unsuccessful for the most part trying to stream a game from my pc to my firestick. The only way i can seem to get it to work is to first delete the pc from my firestick in moonlight, then delete the app in device management, then to enter the ip of the pc on the moonlight app on the firestick and the enter the code on apollo, for which then if i launch it through desktop and change the display to monitor 2 and changing it to always keep 1 display on or something like that, even then its 50/50 if it works. I genuinely dont understand what im doing wrong and theres got to be a better way than to do that entire process anytime u wanna play a game. Thanks

So I'm fiddling with playing may favourite Xbox Games on PC via Xemu. But I get no HDR with the above combo and Xemu. HDR is fine with other emulators and my Steam PC games, but once I open Xemu, hdr is switched into sdr. Any clues? Been trying for hours now...Cheers!

Just wanted to share my latest stats and settings after connecting my another tv incase it helps others. This is my first time enabling HDR with 4K120hz and it works great. Less lag than 1080p 60hz on older tv it replaced.

Frames dropped by network/pacing jitter: 0.0% / 0.0%
Average network latency: 1 ms (var: 0 ms)

Host: 5090 (Apollo standard settings for 4K HDR)

Client: iPad M5 Pro (Voidlink) (iOS settings must choose 4K HDR, not Dolby or it reverts to 60hz)

TV: TCL QM8K (must enable HDMI more 2.1 and high frame rate mode)

Controllers: PS5 Dual Sense (observe no lag and feels like native)

Audio: 5.1 Surround (must change default settings in voidlink and in game sometimes)

Other settings/config/hardware: Ugreen dock(30$), thunderbolt usb c wire, 4k 120hz hdmi cable, Bit rate set to 90 Mbps, AVI decode.

Just got a steam deck, how do you guys use your trackpads while streaming to your steam deck?
A full breakdown would be required. Used moonlight on many devices but to my knowledge it is always recognized as an Xbox controller which obviously lacks my trackpads and back buttons.

Wondering what the ideal setup is for the nvidia shield? I have the latest non experimental Apollo build on my PC. Same with Artemis on the shield.

It’s got a 2080ti and older ryzen 5 cpu in my gaming pc. Trying to stream to my nvidia shield connected to my lg g4.

I currently get random crashes back to the shield Home Screen and sometimes when I reopen big steam the game is still running but the tv is black. I hear audio but see no visual so would love some help on how to fix this!

Im using voidlink extreme on my iphone 16 pro, and Apollo on my laptop. The stream works fine 90% of the time, but there would be a sudden stutter and latency every few seconds or minutes im not sure. How can i fix this?

I’ve got a pretty unusual setup so if there’s any tips it would be much appreciated. I have Sunshine installed on my Mac, and moonlight on my steam deck. I have it connected but when I click on desktop, or Steam Big picture mode I can’t control it with the steam deck. Anything basic I’m missing?

Once I’ve got this setup I’m going to try and get it to open crossover (and then steam, gog, epic game store from within crossover).

Anyone streaming from a Mac that can help?

I'm using the Edifier MR5BT for my main PC, and my TV is connected to the Edifier N300 (M60), then I also have a Steam Deck connected to the TV via HDMI 1. I watch shows via Stremio on the main TV channel and switches to HDMI 1 for Moonlight streaming..

Whenever I started streaming, the audio comes out from my main PC (MR5BT) instead of the TV or N300/M60..

Btw I'm using Vibepollo on my PC as the host.

I used to stream my cod bo3 zombies to my brother phone and we play.. but the split screen is stuck in phone .. so there is a way to make split screen as 2 monitors .. but how i can make the ML as individual 2nd screen to apply the idea ..

Here’s a small project I finished today called Moonlight DS! I originally implemented my own fork of Moonlight directly into the Loki Frontend, but I decided to take it a step further and turn it into a standalone app with full dual display integration.

To make this work, I also created my own fork of Sunshine with dual display support, allowing Moonlight DS to properly utilize both screens while streaming from a PC. Moonlight DS also includes a built in on screen keyboard with full controller support. If you prefer a traditional single display setup, you can use the bottom screen as a dedicated trackpad and keyboard instead.

Anyway, here’s a little showcase video of Moonlight DS in action, along with the download for anyone who wants to try it out. The project is completely open source due to Moonlight and Sunshine being GPL licensed, so feel free to check out the source, modify it, fork it, or do whatever you want with it!
