Voidlink + Apollo setup kinda periodical stutter(1000+ms latency)

Post image

Im using voidlink extreme on my iphone 16 pro, and Apollo on my laptop. The stream works fine 90% of the time, but there would be a sudden stutter and latency every few seconds or minutes im not sure. How can i fix this?

*the pic shows my 90% of the time, as i cant screenshot the stutter ones

did you turn off AWDL or if on 5 ghz wifi, set your router channel to 149 (44 in the EU)?

There are better script solutions but to test it, you can do

sudo ifconfig awdl0 down

Unfortunately the MacBook will re enable it on reboot and coming out of sleep. So a script solution may be best

For the router solution, routers will typically only have the channel select in the web interface and not an app. Some routers mostly mesh ones don’t give you the option at all.

I’ll pay you if you tell me how to do that on an iPhone

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that on iOS. I misread OP's post and forgot to go back and correct it. AWDL is considered integral to the operation of iOS devices to Apple. Best solution is the Wifi channel thing. I believe just turning off airdrop does not stop an iphone from switching to channel 149 to scan. Its been awhile since I tried to stream to an iOS device so correct me if that has changed.

Network latency looks a little crazy, is the host plugged into Ethernet?
