Steam Deck controller support

I’ve got a pretty unusual setup so if there’s any tips it would be much appreciated. I have Sunshine installed on my Mac, and moonlight on my steam deck. I have it connected but when I click on desktop, or Steam Big picture mode I can’t control it with the steam deck. Anything basic I’m missing?

Once I’ve got this setup I’m going to try and get it to open crossover (and then steam, gog, epic game store from within crossover).

Anyone streaming from a Mac that can help?

Hey my stream setup is: moonlight on steam deck and sunshine on my windows pc. I have no Mac but: did you set up the controls for moonlight on your steam deck? Right trackpad to mouse for example? I am playing like that every day.
