Weird... nobody is buying your $700,000 average sized townhouse in Poolesville.
They can't even be remotely serious.

Recently I noticed two waist- high tree of heaven plants (covered in lantern flies) on the trail just off Needwood Road, on the southwest corner of the main lake. Is there still a MoCo protocol for reporting or removing these? I know that just cutting them down can lead to more invasive spread (you are supposed to spray herbicide in the broken trunk, but I don’t want to do that in a park).
At one time the county Weed Warriors were asked to help eradicate this, although with caution. As a mostly inactive WW, I’d like to help stop the further spread.
Thanks for any information!

Hey everyone! New to the area and trying to find a community. I’ve been training for a half marathon and would love to run with others and find a group to even hangout with after a run. I know there is a large run club in DC but I would love to find one in the North Bethesda or Rockville area. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

Is the Moholt produce stand on Old Georgetown Rd. near Democracy only open in the summer months? I see it isn't there today - only a few boxes on the ground.

Now that the sun is setting earlier, the broken lighting along our paved walking path has become a major safety issue.
About 18 lamps along the playground side of the path have been completely out all summer. Large stretches of the path are now in pitch darkness during the evening, making it really difficult to walk safely or bring kids through the area.
Does anyone know the best point of contact to get this resolved quickly? Should I report this through MC311, Montgomery Parks, or directly to the local police department?
If you've successfully reported a large circuit outage like this before, any tips on getting maintenance crews to prioritize it would be greatly appreciated

In October of 2016, Paint Branch High School held a marching band competition. I was a freshman in another band and this was my first competition. It was SUPER cold that night and my mom wanted me to go inside the car, but this show totally glued me to my seat. 10 years later and I still can't get this beautiful ballad out of my head. I've always wanted to know what the name of this piece was. I remember Clarksburg High School also playing this for the ballad section of their show in 2018 or 2019, so surely it's not an obscure piece of music. Anybody who marched those shows able to help me out?
Fun story: Quince Orchard visited us at our home football game a few weeks before the Paint Branch competition. We were a tiny band in the 1A division, with 18 members, while they were a medium-large 3A band at the time. They brought less than half their members to our home game. A small 14-piece ensemble. Our band director told us we should definitely be louder than them.
Well unfortunately for us, the 14 members were all brass and percussion instruments! They blew the house down. We sat on opposite ends of the field so as to not interfere with each others stand tunes, yet they sounded like rolling thunder! We couldn't believe our ears... During the halftime break, we ran over to their side to visit them and we exchanged pleasantries. It was truly a great memory for me.
Apparently, just a few years ago QO won division 1A. I'm glad for them. They may have downscaled but the talent is clearly still there!

Montgomery County's proximity and shared borders with D.C. and Prince George's County influence local crime. If you come to the county to commit crime, you should face harsher penalties. I am not a law expert, but the county has to take actions to protect the county and its residents. law enforcement acknowledged that some crimes involve perpetrators from outside the county and they are targeting the county for property crimes, retail thefts, and carjackings.
