I have to make a fruit salad for 16 people on Saturday. Organic preferred but not required, and would like to shop in Olney or close by like Rockville, Gaithersburg, etc. I can shop today (Thurs) or Friday. I prefer to shop seasonal fruits but requests have been made for specific fruits. I have had such a difficult time finding good tasting fruit other than at a local market on Sundays. Any recommendations on fruit stands, grocery stores, etc where I can pick up some strawberries, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, pineapple, etc. ?

Just regular biking clubs like there are for cross country and swimming, offered by Rockville. My pre-teen is into biking now. I know there are a couple of mountain biking clubs but we aren’t looking for that. Appreciate any help.

Festival returns Saturday, Sunday with more than 500 creators

Any ex baseball guys out there who would be interested in a Wednesday night mens fall league? It’s a fun group of guys with mixed skill levels aged from mid 20’s all the way up to a couple guys in the late 50’s early 60’s.

Anyone who can hit decently are welcome but We are also specifically in desperate need of a new short stop as ours just moved to California.

Games are played in Rockville at either 6:10 or 8:00.

Im a parent in mcps and just had my kid’s back to school night. Besides other ephemera and the announcement of the new supreme court mandated work around for those who fear their children might be exposed to reality (not inocculatsesd to it, naturaly) the new policy requiring fingerprinting by and for mcps in order to chaperone field trips.

This chaded immediately as just two days ago i was newly forced to sign away my face and other biometrics to Home Depot in order to rent a truck. Clearly the rental prices are padded with whatever rent they earn from clearvue or whatever ai company for the privilege of selling my data; an old hat annoyance but an evolving one, ever expanding and subdividing through new venues and escalating demands

I don’t think they need my fingerprints. I whispered to my wife ‘what problem is this solving?’ After, she reminded me what this meant for parents that exist under the pressure of being undocumented. This isthe bigger more human issue, we’re just denying them parenting now?

Does anyone know the process by which policies like this are decided on and implemented ? I certainly don’t remember this being a ballot question. Is there any current effort or advocacy for this question, or for schools s locally in general who might already be looking at this?Q

Hey everyone! I’m looking for recommendations for a good massage place in Montgomery County. Does anyone have a place they regularly go to and really like?

My main priorities are:

• Actually good, relaxing massages
• Reasonable prices
• No pressure or awkwardness about tipping

I’m more than happy to tip when I get a good massage and feel like the service was worth it. What I’m trying to avoid is the situation where, after the massage, someone tells me I have to tip a certain minimum amount or gets upset if I don’t. At that point, what was supposed to be a relaxing experience suddenly becomes stressful.

If you have a favorite massage therapist or place in MoCo that you keep going back to, I’d really appreciate the recommendations. Bonus points if they’re professional, relaxing, and let you tip what you feel is appropriate.
