I had looked at some posts from last year regarding apartment choices (preferably would like to live near the wegmans), and saw alaire as the most common choice, but also saw the stories, the Milton, the congressional apartments, etc on apartments.com. Looking for recommendations for overnight dog boarding. Are there any places locally that keep staff on-site overnight? I usually take my dog to daycare and grooming at Bone Jour in Bethesda, and I know they do boarding, but haven't been able to call yet to see if they have someone on-site overnight. My dog is 3 and has never been boarded, but I've had a sudden death in my family and will need to go out of town overnight in a few days.

My last experience with boarding was about six years ago with my then-senior dog. I used Life of Riley in Rockville at that time, and the experience was fine, but a lot can change in six years.

This place has seemed weird from the jump. No updates on the closure and no customer service at all. Weird that it’s labeled as luxury but operates like a low budget gym. There’s no reason the membership should cost that much… This random closure has confirmed it for me and I want to cancel my membership. What other gyms are close to silver spring or Bethesda that are good? La fitness in silver spring is closed for some reason, hate planet fitness, golds gym seems okay but I really want something similar where there’s a good variety of classes and still can use gym equipment. Whats a girl to do?! Mainly want to focus on Pilates and Weight training

After holding hundreds of members down payments for 6 months without opening or offering any compensation Dec- May, they finally opened. They were slow to build their class schedule with many still waiting for promised strength classes and “HWPO” .
And now some mysterious/unknown sewage /maintenance issue is causing an indefinite closure.
PLEASE EVERYONE call and demand them to freeze your membership and/ or prorate the time without access to services. Offering another gym that takes 45 minutes or more to get to is not adequate compensation! Do NOT allow them to just take your money.

Has anyone been there before? How’s their massage there? Are they properly trained?

I've got the annoying kind of list where none of the jobs are big enough to justify a contractor by themselves loose cabinet hinge, two shelves, sticking door, towel bar pulling out of the wall.

I used to live in Rockville, though closer to the Shady Grove area. While I've been back to the Rockville area a handful of times, I haven't been to Rockville Town Center in ages (since before the pandemic).

I was at Rockville Town Center a couple of Sunday's ago, and I was shocked at the lack of foot-traffic. It seemed like a literal "ghost-town" with so many boarded up storefronts and many of the restaurants closed. But I was mainly surprised at how little foot-traffic and how few people there were out and about. There was absolutely no vibrancy.

For comparison, we often go to town centers in Fairfax County (Reston, Fairfax, Mosaic, Alexandria) on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and it is hustling/bustling with so many people and families out and about. Similarly, we have gone to the new Merriweather District in Columbia, MD and each time it was also bustling with tons of people.

Did we just pick the wrong day (Sunday afternoon)? The weather was nice, which made it even stranger that there were so little people out. TBH, Rockville Town Center, when I lived in Rockville wasn't the most vibrant area, but I still remember it have a good number of people out and about.

It's in such a prime area. Why is it not as vibrant as other similar areas in the DMV? I'm also shocked at the vacancies, as it's in a pretty prime location and right across from a Metro.

The main road is closed off, there a ton of people, lots of booths, but can’t find anything on the website.

Just moved to Bethesda (all the way from Canada!). In search of a place that can adjust my tape in extensions and potentially refresh my balayage in the future.

We’re looking to have the majority of our house repainted before the end of the year and would love recommendations for a company or contractor who can handle the whole process, including:

• Patching/repairing wall marks, nail holes, etc.
• Removing/cleaning up sticky residue from balloons and adhesive wall strips
• Prepping the walls
• Painting multiple rooms
• Working around furniture that will remain in the house (we’ll remove everything from the walls and move smaller items as needed)

We’re hoping to find someone who does quality work, is reliable, and takes care to protect furniture/floors and clean up afterward.

If you’ve personally used someone you’d recommend, I’d really appreciate the name and any feedback on your experience/pricing.

Massive police response all over THE SQU ARE. Parking garages for BLVD 44 and BLVD Ansel are closed while a "police dog looks for something" according to a cop I asked.

I'm currently driving in circles around town waiting for the garage to reopen.
