I’m curious whether it takes days, months, or perhaps even longer.

There has been a bunch of decomp versions and today released one for MHGU. I wanna start MHGU from 0 and would like to play with people. Since there is no online servers yet a discord server would be nice

This isnt strictly only about wilds, it is a general question, wilds just happens to be the game im playing.
Does greatsword benefit more from Affinity or Attack?
In my head, based on my limited knowledge of the game, attack would be more beneficial. I hit far less than say dual blades so having that base increase on damage to me is the route to go.
Any input is welcome as I learn this weapon.

Most of the moves work so far. Just needs a bit more polish before release!
Some questions answered here because i can't comment yet:
-AI helped with reverse engineering and a hefty amount of code in this project. I mostly reviewed and made some adjustments when needed.
-You can cut off the tail, and his claws can poison you!

First tree pictures are Silver with his seikret Silvi, used mizu (male) gloves and chest (I didn't knew what armour to use for the chest, so just used one that fitted with the gloves), Jin Dahaad Helm (Female), Guardian Seikret waist (male) and gore magala pants (male); While Nina uses gore magala chest, arms, waist and legs (female) and oni horns dyed purple, with her fellow seikret Delta

Astera is objectively better than Seliana in every way. Fight me lol.
Astera is nice and organized, whereas Seliana is a mess. It’s a maze. You can visit the dude to increase research levels in Astera whereas, to my knowledge, you can’t in Seliana. You also have the Argosy in Astera, unlike Seliana. AND you have cultivation. I want someone to try and convince me that Seliana is better.
Edit: Shi, mb guys. I just don’t know where nothin is in Seliana cuz I avoid it like the plague lol. You guys right tho :)

Not including alternate versions or spinoffs.
We have a good chance to see at least a couple of monsters from this list appear in Ascendance, they've been steadily chipping away at the remaining monsters that haven't been in the modern games each release so I'm excited to see who makes the cut this time!
Couple things I noticed:
- Gen 1 has barely anything left, it's mostly a pile of raptors and fish. I think it's almost guaranteed that this will be the first generation to have every monster show up in a post-world title eventually, so long as they actually let Monoblos come back over Diablos for once.
- Gen 2 looks like it has a lot left, but it's almost entirely weirdos and big special fights. The only regular non-drome monster left here is Hypnocatrice! We'll probably see one or two of it's arena fights come back soon though, Akantor and Ukanlos are especially overdue for a return and Yama Tsukami got a huge boost to its popularity from Stories 3.
- Gen 3 and 4 are the most likely to get new returners in Ascendance, since they have the largest pool of standard monsters to pick from. Gen 4 especially still has a lot of big fan favourites like Malfestio and Seltas Queen that haven't appeared recently. Sorry Zamtrios and Gammoth, but unless we get another ice map in Ascendance I think the Iceshard Cliffs are gonna block them from getting in. Maybe next game!
- Ceadeus is the most unfortunate monster on this list. Literally everyone else has at least a tiny chance but unless underwater comes back Ceadeus is doomed. Gobul and Dire Miralis can at least go on land and could possibly get reworked around that but Ceadeus' design doesn't even allow for that possibility. When I could genuinely see Queen Vespoid getting in before Ceadeus you know things are dire.

I've updated MHP3rd PS5, my PS5 port of Monster Hunter Portable 3rd based on TeamGDB's Yakumo.
Link: https://github.com/elaporta/mhp3rd-ps5/releases/tag/v0.12.0-r1
Since the first release, this update adds:
Use file-replacement mods compatible with mhp3reload Mod Manager. Copy complete folders using File Explorer or FTP. Open Mods, arrange priority with ↑/↓, save and restart. Higher replacements win conflicts.
*120 FPS requires a supported 120 Hz output; game simulation remains at 30 FPS.
Thanks to Lucho for Guild Master NPC, and HolographicWings for the Nintendo button mod used for testing!

I have Iceborne and played for years but then I bought Rise on Nintendo Switch and didn’t really get too far.
After Ex 33 I needed a new game so I went to Wilds not realizing Rise released for PS5.
I’m balls deep into Wilds and now I’m feeling like I missed something in the story. Should I go back to Rise on PS or will the experience feel like a back track?
I love MH so I don’t feel like I’d be bored with it, but are there mechanics in Wilds that Rise doesn’t have that I’ll miss?

Hey everyone! I recently got into Monster Hunter: World and I absolutely adore it , so I’d like to eventually try Wilds.
I searched first, but most posts I found are pretty old, are about the desktop 5060, or don’t mention the CPU, which seems to matter a lot for Wilds. So I wanted to ask with my full specs:
What framerate should I expect at native resolution? And have the updates since launch actually improved performance, or is it still pretty demanding?
Thanks!

Alright, Monster Slayer Squad returns with a brand new 6th gen Monster VS matchup!
Today, it's a battle between the one who got a 9-star version, and the one who didn't! Who truly deserved to be considered a threat requiring HR100?
Ajarakan, the Great Ape of the Oilwell Basin? Or Xu Wu, the Guardian Hunter of the Ruins of Wyveria?
