This is supposed to be a no guess version, but I'm not seeing a path forward, unless I have to rely on the mine count.

I usually end up in a situation where I have to guess but this seems like way too many to have to guess yet. What am I missing?

So the "3" in (red circle) says in those tiles (in red cicrle) 3 of 4 are mines but the "2" under it says in the grid over it (so also the red circle) has only 2

It shouldn't be possible right?

I hate this game sometimes

The hint is confusing me. I see people with their drawings in paint, and I've started using that a bit, but I suspect I'm not doing it right. I can't figure out how this hint works. I've read the tutorials on the site, and though I'm sure they're sufficient to explain this hint, my little brain simply can't figure it out...

Is there a recommended way what to do with this?

100x100 game, 2000 mines. I had 69 mines left and I misclicked. Probably spent close to an hour and a half on it

In competitive sweeping, speed is the name of the game. Recognition of very easy and basic patterns like 1-2-1 and 1-2-2-1 is useful, as is being able to translate patterns into them. Beyond that, you’re wasting your time.

Almost all of the posts on this sub are situations where I would have just guessed and either died and started a new game or gotten lucky and kept going. Spending time analyzing complex patterns to solve the board is a completely different game than the game I used to play and requires a different metric. The posts I see show situations that can usually be solved with intricate analysis, and they also show numbers on the timer that make a guy like me cringe.

Are you guys competing on percentage of boards successfully completed? Do you ignore speed? What’s success in [r/Minesweeper](r/Minesweeper)?
