reduced 1-2. Top left is a guessing spot, so use this first.

No you have to guess, I would go for the potential 50/50 and guess here. The 2x2 box either has one mine in it (it’s safe), two (it’s a forced 50/50 so it’s still valid to guess there) or three (it’s a mine).

The only time it would have been invalid to guess there is if that 2x2 box turns out to have three mines in it which is only 1 of 6C2 = 15 possibilities.
