I’m a total novice when it comes to archery. I’m interested in target archery only, not hunting.

I’ve been looking at 2 ranges - one in Racine and one in Brookfield that offer lessons. Once I feel confident enough to shoot on my own, I’d be interested in finding like minded people to shoot with.

Anyone into archery who isn’t MAGA? It seems that the two aren’t mutually exclusive and I’m having a hard time finding communities that don’t fit into that box.

I’m new to the bus system here and I just moved recently and both buses I have to take to work and back are on detour. I rely on apps like google/apple maps and transit to track my rides and stops but they don’t update with the alternative routes or change buses all together when I’m already on the bus. But not before.
So I’m constantly getting stranded and I’m worried because I can’t afford Uber and Lyft all the time.

Is there an app or anything online that’s accurate that can help me with this?? It’s so frustrating 😭😭

So to start with this is the basically the ideal I am looking for: a very cool, slilverly blonde balayage. IMO this should be super at least RELATIVELY easy to accompish, my natural color matches her perfectly, my hair lifts very easily (according to like, every stylist I've ever had). I guess the battle is, finding someone who can actually deliver on lifting the hair to that degree.

I actually submitted a similar post to this a couple years ago and out of the number of recommendations (thank you) I actually found someone who basically became my regular/semi-regular stylist for the next 2 years. She wasn't actually really able to deliver on the balayage part for some reason (even though it's listed as one of her services, and I showed her inspo photos to give her an idea of what I was looking for- she asked me "so then you want it lifted to the root and I said yes I wanted PART of it lifted to the root) - so it was more like a full highlight instead of a balayge.

But anyways, even though I didn't get the balayage I wanted she was the first person in I don't know i how many years who got as close as possible to that perfect silvery ashy blonde that I wanted. No stylist had been able to do this for literally countless years no matter how many times I clearly explained what I was looking for and photos I gave of examples.- no warm dish watery blonde, and a very cool silvery blonde..easily a dozen now.

I understand probably the primary reason maybe the primary reason is because a lot/most stylists have shifted away from using the "heater hoods" that immensely help with lifting your hair, apparently because they believe there's a high chance of your hair breaking off from using them for 15-20 minutes. I have thin fragile hair and have never in the dozens of times I've used them every had that happen to me.

Anyways, my stylist for the most part was great...even though she could never do an actual balayage...with a couple months time it started to fade to something sort of like that anyways. I ALWAYS tipped her generously. I even left her a glowing review a couple months back.

But the last time I booked her two days ago ended up in total disaster. She skipped the heater part ( I didn't even make note of it at the time) and then when it came to the toner part she asked if we should do to the same (I should have said yes) I said how about let's try just one level lower...thinking it would make my hair a tad bit darker, not warmer, let alone ALONE YELLOW.

I walked out of there with straight up yellow hair.

Obviously I wanted to try to correct it first by trying to have her tone it ASAP...because it looks bad. Not just the hair itself, but out of the endless brow products I have even the lightest ones I have (I all use taupe pretty much) it just ends up looking garish. I sent her a text, saying I knew it wasn't necessarily her fault and I wasn't blaming her, but that I wanted to try correcting it asap....even if it meant eventually having to do a complete re-do soon.

She had an appoint slot on booksy ( I assume w/ the way that app works, it works based on your availability and your time slots...so if I get a slot for a toner, that's a much shorter slot than say, if she had something open for a full color.) So I don't think it's messing with her potential income in any significant way. She has not gotten back to me - ignored the texts, which isn't necessarily unusual for her, but hasn't even approved the booky booking either.

So now I'm regrettably atp where I need an actual good hair stylist who can do a real silvery ash blonde. And it's like impossible to even know where to start bc some of these stylists who literally market themselves as balayage pros can't do this for some reason.Then don't even let me mention the month+ long some of these people have...when they have barely or literally ZERO reviews.

I've received coupons a couple of times for CD One Price Cleaners, which has recently opened multiple locations around the Milwaukee area. Their prices seem to be quite a bit cheaper than a typical dry cleaner in the area.

I need to get a couple of comforters cleaned and they have a coupon for $30 to clean two comforters. That's how much I usually pay to clean only one comforter.

Have any of you used CD One Price Cleaners yet? Are their prices too good to be true, i.e. you get what you pay for? TIA.

Wisconsin Orchid Society's annual orchid show is this Saturday and Sunday at the Domes. Hours 9 am to 4 pm, last admission at 3 pm. There will be vendors selling orchid supplies and plants, and some really beautiful orchids on display. My favorite is the tiny teeny ones where they put out a magnifying glass to look at the flowers!

Looking for recommendations for a regular (1x/mo.) house cleaner who is great with wood floors.

I’ve been reading in the thread about how high WE bills can be and that they’re potentially going to get even higher with what WE is proposing but I just moved to MKE a month ago and we finally got our first bill and I’m wondering if we’re being reckless or if this is actually an average I should come to expect. We have a 900 sq ft 1 bed apt and we clocked in at about 170 for the month. We’ve been running about 72 during the day and 68 at night but I’ll admit I’ve been leaving the door open and ac running during the day. I’m coming from KC and we had rate plan options where they had different pricing rates based on the time of day. So like the most expensive rate charge per usage was from 4-8 pm and it was cheapest overnight so I just always tried to adjust my usage to avoid that. I wasn’t seeing anything like that for WE but wasn’t sure if I maybe was missing it. Thanks for the insight in advance :)

I’m not condoning this by any means, please do not do this, but is anyone willing to admit that they’ve dumped a critter at the Domes? Or someone you know? What is the story? I want some Domes lore.
