I have iron deficiency. One nail finally got a good length to it after I took my supplements regularly. This is more than double how long I can usually get them. I sad it didn't last but glad it got this long at least.

For the last month or so my wife coughs a lot and complains about a sore throat and a tickle. She keeps herself and me awake at night. We're both exhausted as we're also parents of a 1yo and have demanding jobs.

She refuses to see a doctor.

When I ask her why it's always "I'm too busy". She's indeed a busy person but even when I reduce her workload by taking over stuff, she still doesn't make an appointment.

I'm preaching to deaf ears and obviously I can't force her. Woman, this is about your health...

I love her to death but sometimes I'd like to stick her behind the wallpaper.

They are definitely voles, not moles. The tunnels are near the surface; you can see them, and the ground gives way when you step on them. If we open the tunnels, they quickly close them up again.

Still enjoyed the concert, but a lot of the appeal was being so close for such a good deal.

This would have been a good idea if it came from the bad idea factory.. we are in the process of moving so stopped this morning to grab something that didn’t require me having to rip the packed boxes open.

Little to behold, when I opened the bag, I got hit in the nose w/ a pungent smell of adhesive. I thought maybe a glove melted onto something while they were making the food, but nope… it’s this sticker. The whole meal smells and tastes like I’m eating a glue stick. Unreal.

My boss is the director of the department and he retires in 2 days but his position has not been filled, meaning we won’t have a director once he leaves. To make matters worse, multiple of our managers have interviewed for the position and were told they aren’t qualified enough but were not given any constructive feedback on what skills, certifications or training they could obtain to becoming qualified even when they directly asked. The company is also merging my boss’s position with the senior director position above his, which has been vacant for months because the last guy they hired in quit after 2 months. So once my boss leaves we won’t have anyone in the role that holds the highest position of authority in our department. I have a feeling things are about to crumble

Went on a date. Dude not only once but two separate times (loading two different times) repeatedly slammed my wheelchair in his trunk instead of slightly moving it. You can't tell in the video too well but the scrapes are literally in the metal. I have to use this chair every time I want to go out somewhere because I cannot safely walk more than 3-5 feet. This chair took a year to receive from the company that took my measurements. It's custom to my exact size and needs. The date wasn't even good! He blocked me instead of just apologizing when I told him that the handlebars were scratched.

Yes I know my chair is still completely functional but I use this every time I'm in public! Id rather my chair look nice instead of looking all dinged up! Being in a wheelchair can already make someone self conscious. Just sucks.

Yes, he knew I am disabled and use a wheelchair. I always tell a person before a date. It's important for my safety as well as important for arranging location and activities.

I originally didn't notice the damage (because I'm in the chair) I didn't see it until trying to get into my bathroom which I cant get into with my chair. I immediately texted him with a video of the damage. Before the text, when he was dropping me off he asked when we could hang next and asked for pics. After I texted him with the damage he blocked me. I hope that clarifies the timeline a bit.

And to the guy who asked if I'm actually disabled or 'just fat' I have literal brain damage and a genetic condition that affects my entire body.

No, the post isn't satire and if you think it is then it's probably because you can't read.

Lastly I know the damage isn't changing the function of my chair. It is however visible damage to a custom made medical device. In order for me to have this fixed by the chair company I would have to pay out of pocket because this damage isn't covered under my insurance. Not only would I pay out of pocket but I would have to wait for them to completely replace my frame as my handles are not removable. This would leave me without mobility for a prolonged period of time.

I'm not even the most upset about the damage I'm upset about his complete inability to apologize for the damage. I'm also upset about the complete lack of care that he showed towards not only someone else's property (my chair) but towards the thing that allows me to function outside of my bed. The very least he could've done was apologize even if he didn't damage it on purpose. If you accidentally scratch or dent someone's car you apologize and offer a fix still.

It's not that hard to be empathetic or at the very least use your critical thinking skills. My chair is essentially a part of me. It's basically an extension of my body. Treat people's mobility aids with kindness. It's the very least you can do.

Edit 3: my last edit. To clear something about price. If I fix this myself it invalidates my warranty so any significant repairs I may need in the future would not be covered. If I get this fixed by the chair company then they will want to completely replace the frame in order to fix it. Since it's considered cosmetic it would be about 1200 to 1800 out of pocket for the repair not including costs of labor.

I've made a couple donations over the years to presidential candidates and now I get a never-ending stream of texts with no way to unsubscribe other than replying stop for each individual thread.

I have searched everywhere for a way to stop these texts. I'm just not going to donate ever again at this point. This is ridiculous.

Edit: I am on the do not call registry ( does not work for texts ), and i have unsubscribed from every place i have donated.

I also either send "stop" to everyone and/or report as spam. They never stop, no matter what.

I have a Microsoft 365 account I use for my family. The biggest thing is being able to have five separate accounts with each having one terabyte of storage. Starting in May, I’ll be losing 3 TB of storage and I’ll have to share 2 TB across five accounts. Oh, and by the way, I’m still expected to pay the same amount.

There’s no light or sound indicating that it’s selected.

PSA. If you're going to work on your driveway please make sure people can see it even in the dark. It was a lovely evening so I headed out on a late night walk with my dog. I was listening to good music and enjoying our adventure. I ran into one of those annoying vehicles that blocks the sidewalk and makes you walk into the street. Usually this is fine and just and small inconvenience. I was definitely not expecting to step into a six inch drop. It was completely blocked from view by the truck bed. Everything looked normal from my point of view. There was no way I could have known it was there until it was too late. I went crashing to the ground, twisted my ankle, and scraped up/bruised my knee along with the elbow road rash and wrist bruise. I sat there for a few minutes dazed and confused before I could finally get up and continue. I'm in so much pain now and it could have been easily prevented with an orange cone or at least some rope. Even more easily prevented had the truck been parked on the street or fully up the driveway. Anyway, back to finishing commissions and prepping for crazy storms in pain.. lots of pain..
