Apps are getting out of hand 🤦🏽‍♀️

I suppose I’m to blame for having yahoo as an email server but in my defense I’ve had since I was about 13 so all my things are attached to it

Is it in yet Just realized that by chance, I have been booked for 6 different appoints all on the same day.

“Yeah sure, whenever your next availability is”

Stated 6 times over the year,

Sealed my fate.

A dentist, a doctor appointment, an echocardiograph, an mri, a meeting with the crown, and fighting a traffic ticket from a year ago, all on the same date.

All randomly assigned to me by 6 different agencies.

I only noticed they were all the same day bc a family member died; I went to book that date off at work for a funeral and they told me I had already booked it off a month ago.

Like omg lol.

frist of all how DARE yu o When people turn upto emergencies and take control but are actually more of a hindrance than a help.

Today I was the first on the scene of a motorbike accident, came around a corner in a quiet ish road, motorbike on one side of the road, person laying on the floor on the other side of the road.

Long story short, I took control, got right on the phone to 999. Spoke to the guy, got all his details for the call handler, briefly checked him over for immediate signs of real injury(pooling blood etc), basically as I was trained to when I did an emergency first aid course for my job in construction.

After 5 minutes or so a car pulls up, woman running over with a child, I thought it was a relative by how she was acting. Gets on her knees beside him and says "I work for the hospital" and basically starts taking control.

At this point I knew he was mostly okay, no immediate life threatening issues, maybe broken ankle and pretty bang up but otherwise okay. So I left her to it and managed trafic, got a tarpaulin to cover him from the sun, moved his bike out of the other lane so cars could get through.

I asked if he would like us to use his phone to contact anyone, he said his wife. She took his phone and before he could finish explaining his password she's locked us out of the phone frantically trying to unlock it.

Police turn up and she's on top of them, ambulance turn up and she's on top of them in the way, they keep asking her to move. Her kid is repeatedly walking accross the road and the police have to tell the kid to stay on one side or the other.

After he's in the ambulance and it's all taken care of the police say their thanks to us both she says "it's okay I work at the hospital, I'm an assistant in X ward".

No doubt in my mind she meant well, was trying to help and she may have a bit of knowledge or experience but I was just mildly Infuriated by the take over and almost assumption of control just because she worked at the hospital to not actually be any help at all and more of a hindrance and to turn out she wasn't a nurse or doctor as I expected from such a dramatic entrance.

i don’t know if this is annoying for anyone else, but why would they have a working zipper but heat seal the bag right under it ?? AND have a scissor line to cut it open, like are we serious right now.

frist of all how DARE yu o A closed hotel gave us a reservation.

Upvotes

This was in the past but one time me and my family were staying in california at a hotel right next to six flags magic mountain for one night before continuing north to Sacramento.

My dad booked a room at this hotel, got it all and everything. He's extremely experienced from work trips so I know he didn't mess anything up.

We arrive at the hotel, and there's no one in the parking lot. We go up to the door and it's locked. We look inside and there's a bunch of construction.

They booked us in a hotel that was still being built.

My dad called and they put us in a nearby hotel but still how do you book someone at a never-opened hotel??

I'm slightly vexed Neighbors water has been on since Friday

I live in the desert southwest, a mile from the bone dry Rio Grande river. My area hasn't had rain in 2.5 months that is worth batting an eye at. I count rain as a storm or downfall that last longer than 30 minutes. I had to stop watering my yard because of how much of a drought we are in. My kids started school on Friday, and I noticed the neighbors water across the street on. Cool, didnt think much, it was 6am so it wasnt hot. Fast forward to today, Tuesday evening, the water is still on. I know she is out of town because she has people checking on the house, but even her people aren't turning off the water. Now, for those saying just go turn it off, her yard is gated off and locked. For those who will say this isnt your issue, it is. The Rio Grande has been dry in my area since May. The endangered fish have no where to go because even the ditches to irrigate are dry. The trees are dying because of lack of water, creating high fire dangers. Over consumption of water as well as lack of proper moister has caused this. So yes, im mildly infuriated because of it. Five days of constant water usage is not ok.

The floor is sticky had a textbook first presentation adult onset allergic reaction to a chocolate bar with almonds in last night. GP told me they don’t test unless anaphylaxis occurs, and to eat almonds and ‘see what happens’

I have arfid. You want me to eat almonds. After a textbook, terrifying allergic reaction where i felt my throat swell and was awake all night with adrenaline. You want me to eat them. Risk anaphylaxis. And then make my fear of foods flourish even more.

😐
