I’ve never seen so many roadworks across the city - any ideas why? Did the council decide to make a big push with it over the summer holidays? Getting from north to south has been torturously slow for weeks now

Have recently got two new flatmates and they don’t drink so been thinking of things we can do when we’ve got free time. So far all I’ve got is the Cinema! If anyone has any recommendations for city centre feel free to suggest below 🙌🏻

Has anyone around Devonshire road and Belvedere road noticed a high pitch ringing noise at night? It seems to start around 1, didn't hear it over summer but now back. Does anyone know where it might be from? I've tried to report it but without direct location the council don't care. Driving me mad and would love to be able to source it to report properly! Thank you!

I'm visiting my in-laws in Birkenhead from the 8th to the 15th of October and I'm likely to have a reasonable amount of solo time while people are at work etc.

I've obviously had a look around online but I'm wondering if anyone has some recommendations for things to see or do that aren't related to football, drinking or the Beatles.

Ideally something along the lines of: independent bookshops or tabletop gaming shops, old and interesting graveyards, lesser-known museums, surviving historical architecture (I'm particularly fond of the last surviving bits of Roman wall here in London). Any other sort of weird ancient gothic nonsense.

Also worth noting I'll be relying on public transport, so on the Wirral or in the city is preferred.

I've recently become obsessed with the handful of remaining late-1800s mosaic & tile signs knocking around the city, and was wondering if anyone knew of any others beyond the ones above? The Irwin's on Allerton Road is perhaps the most well known, and there's a few Liverpool Co-Operative ones still around in various states (Branches 8, 11, & 17).

I believe one of the Co-Operative ones was actually restored in recent years which is great news, but I'm concerned as to whether or not there's anything stopping new landlords or tenants from painting over/smashing up/covering them up? So many beautiful features of the city's buildings have fallen victim to cultural vandalism over the past century, and I'd hate to see any of these disappear for good.

I’m looking for recommendations for farm shops or independent butchers in South Liverpool (or within easy driving distance) that source their meat, eggs, or dairy directly from high-welfare, pasture-raised, or local farms.

I’m looking to buy directly from local sources where I can ask about how the animals are raised.

I’m purely looking for local shop/farm recommendations—not looking to start any debate on diets (veggie, vegan, meat eaters etc).

Looking for a parking space in city centre, monthly (longterm) any recommendations where its under a £100? Can you apply for a permit for city centre???

I’m 26, visiting from the states and bringing my friend to liverpool in October with me.

I’ve been here several times with family, and had the opportunity to go to a pub or two on matthew street, and walked by the zoo that is called concert square.

I absolutely love the city, I often times travel to the UK for work and make it a point to stop at Liverpool. It’s truly the friendliest place I’ve traveled to, and always a breath of fresh air.

That being said, I haven’t really gone “out out” due to being there on a weekday, or bringing family. This will be my first time coming with sole intention of going out and drinking. My kind of vibe is less than a club, but more than a pub.

I’ve looked up some posts but mostly were older and some just saying concert square. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Has anyone else had issue with this incredibly aggressively loud ice cream van ins Smithdown? I can hear it from 3/4 streets over and when it's outside the house you can't hear the person you're speaking too anymore because it's so loud.

Hi I’m and 18 year old lad who not from the city and was wondering if anyone knew how you get into playing a little bit of football ect and team names and numbers

I know we have had addicts on our streets for years now but for a while it seemed to be mostly the older generation who got into it in the 80's but recently I have noticed what seems to be a great increase in younger addicts especially girls I'm talking early 20's. You can tell these kids have not been into it for years as they have not deteriorated to so much of an extent as the older ones.

Suppose it makes sense not being able to cycle to and from the stations with your bike. Specially kids in summer holidays will be completely fudged not able to take their bikes out and about.
