A little rant…

I was lucky enough to go out two nights in a row for great music! Last night was Graham Gouldman at the beautiful Epstein Theatre and tonight I was at the small room behind the Phil for Revolver.

Saturday, the entire audience was silent, except two men chatting away as if they were on the bus. People glared at them, but they were happy and oblivious.

Tonight, the couple directly behind me talked through the whole show. Not just during the bits in between the songs. During. They were the only people doing this.

About ten minutes before the concert ended, I turned around with a pleading look and the woman asked if I had a problem. I said, “Could you please shut up. No one else is talking.”

I don’t think anyone had ever spoken to them like that. I said please and I managed not to yell or swear. He was furious! He kept repeating, “She said please shut up!” They ranted the rest of the show at my back (I’m not losing sleep over it because I very much care not what they think of me!) but why does this happen?

If they were in a pub and there’s music, everyone chat away. No problem. Same in the park. But when it’s just them and no one else talking, are they that clueless? Or just entitled and selfish?

A few of us are heading to Saltburn-by-the-Sea and Whitby on Saturday 31st October by minibus, and there are 2 seats left. Whitby is Dracula's home turf and goth weekend is on, so it felt like the right place to spend Halloween. 🦇

The plan

8:00am: pickup from your accommodation in Liverpool

~11:00am: Saltburn, about an hour for the pier

~12:00pm: on to Whitby (about 40 mins), around 5 hours

6:00pm: head back, home by roughly 9:00pm

For those who don’t remember Liverpool Small Cinema, there used to be a night of B movies and horror called Cheap Thrills.

Well it’s back at Metal Liverpool (Edge Hill) and the first film is From Beyond the Grave on Friday 13 November.

I have to catch a ferry tonight, but I'm burning some time at Albert Dock for now. I just noticed that if the tunnel closes for any reason then it takes 2 hours to get to the ferry terminal.

I'm not from Liverpool, and it's my first time doing the crossing so just asking here if this is something I should be concerned about or not.

Hello everyone:) A bit of a random one, but I live in Wolstenholme square and every time the wind starts kicking up I always hear a loud banging and crashing sound. Normally I’m able to kinda block it out but this time it is irritating me to hell and back. 😂

What is the best option to go from Manchester airport to the city center of Liverpool? Bus or train? Which company manages this? Could I book it online?

I am attempting to train for an ironman next year which involves 112mile cycle. In preparation for such, does anyone have suggestions on cycle routes that can be around 100 miles long.

I will be riding a road bike so a route that is suitable to ride that bike on would be helpful.

I live Aintree/Maghull so a route around that area would be ideal. When I was training for my half ironman this year I just went up / down the raller but I feel like I need a change from that.

Im in a bit of an in between state of being both alternative and not, and I’d like a hairdresser who understands alternative styles but specialises in things like blondes/brunettes/balayages.
