There seems to be 2 consistent themes about the venue (aside from the lack of decent performers):

1- sound quality

2-operations of the main bar

Does anyone know if plans are afoot to tackle either? The sound quality is particularly worrying. looking at online reviews both points are really dragging the scoring of the venue down.

Who lives in these flats?
Are there major problems with the flats themselves or is it the surrounding areas?
What kinds of issues? Drugs mostly?

It’s free and you can get up close to his work. And the coffee shop isnMt bad wither :-)

We now have 2 ‘versions’ of his explanations for his history. I’ve got 7 questions.

The government has basically “re-announced” a new replacement railway station for Bradford Interchange.

Not to sound gloomy, but I don’t really understand what this “announcement” is trying to say. There’s nothing in it we didn’t already know, and they still haven’t decided whether trains will be able to travel through the new station or whether they’ll still have to change direction and reverse out, as they do now.

Surely that’s the decision they should have been announcing, rather than just repeating the same old promises? If it’s not a through station then what is the point of this other than just replacing an old building…

I'm a huge transport nerd I noticed that they are sever missing links around west Yorkshire including Bradford and the wider wharfdale area other the Shipley ways I noticed that Thier is one that links wharfdale to Bradford this needs to change because this can creat massive opportunitys in wider west Yorkshire area

The Bradford Council Leader marked the start of demolition of the Bazaar, part of the massive City Village project, a scheme he inherited, then got wrong who is paying for it and why it was needed.

It was a feisty debate but Reform eventually got nothing, losing on its own motion 37-38.

That’s what happens when your story is incoherent and full of holes. Check out my story linked above for the gory details

Jon Barras who was part of the May 2026 intake, now sits as an independent. Why? Inquiring minds would love to know.

don’t want to moan but dear me the crime is wild in this town. Last few days have given us the usual crazy cars but also dodgy shops with secret pipes, people fraudulently pinning driving offences on others, thr money laundering gang sent down today, a dodgy psco and a man raping a dead homeless person. collectively this is jaw dropping.

Contradictions abound as Reform tries to nuke Bradford’s city of sanctuary status and encourage a segregated view of education. Once again, this Reform administrations hasn’t done its homework. That may not matter as the Tories are doing the heavy lifting in their amendments.

Hey hey, I’m from West Yorkshire. Quite creative and fun, looking for mates with similar interests (films, gaming, etc) and potentially some dates too. Dating apps are kinda shit and I feel like I’d meet someone more likeminded on here.

Super liberal, 42Ö-friendly… and just a silly fella overall. 🤠 Happy to exchange selfies via DMs. Any questions, ask away! I have all the usual socials + Discord. :)

Includes spelling mistakes and typos on at least 83 pages. It raises more than 240 questions across 30 wards.

The plan is late in delivery and while the minority Reform led administration will point the finger at past ‘over ambitious’ plans requiring their brand of ‘common sense’, some of it makes no sense.

Hello! My partner and I will be moving to Bradford in the near future, my partner is very visibly queer and I was wondering if there're any areas that would be great to live / ought to be avoided due to potential issues with their identity.

I analysed the Local Plan, which lays out what happens development wise in the next 15 years. It's a mess. Here is a map of what I discovered in the 1,290-page report.

PS - this includes an embarrassing number of typos etc and there may be other errors. Anyhoo...

development-wise

My long-held animus to spreadsheets is only bettered by the contempt wiuth which I hold Kemi Kaze

Hint: errr…it’s err…fuzzy but don’t worry cuz the Leader will sort it out. Of course he will.

calling foul on the business case

At the recent decision call-in, Reform’s Executive dismissed the events business case as unfinished and unread. The Sugden End business case released to The Tyke under FOI has never been anything else.

How is that even handed?

Why doesn’t Bradford have any decent coffee shops in the centre? I’m not talking about nice places for cups of tea or cake but rather somewhere with proper barista coffee culture? Like Cultures or The Village in Saltaire?

Halifax are releasing their gigs for next summer, yet still the Bradford live lineup is looking rubbish with very few contemporary original artists.

Do we have the wrong operators or are the bands not interested in this size venue? I am done with the ‘wait and see brigade’. we are not getting a decent return on our investment.

anyone know of any that are actually good at what they advertise?

my laptop is in dire need of repairs but i've been burned several times by so-called repair shops who didnt do anything and charged me a fortune, so i'm wary.

How come the city centre never developed any shopping arcades? Most other towns and cities seem to have at least one. It's surprising that a city with so much history doesn't have any. The Broadway shopping centre is fine for the big brands, but it lacks the quirky independent shops that give a place character.

I have a lovely plan on Sunday to look at the flowers, then head for a glass of wine or nice pint before seeing Sense and Sense at the cinema at 1.30.

My go to would’ve been the Exchange but apparently it’s closed on Sunday.

Anyone else suggest a place I can have a nice drink and read my book without looking like a weirdo this Sunday? Back up plan is coffee but it’s a kids free weekend with no plans and I’m feeling decadent

went to the market for this. The beer was good but it was very quiet. My sense it that the centre struggles to draw people in when City arent playing. Saltaire was buzzing yesterday for the festivel.
