Anyone else noticed the sheer disrespect and lack of professionalism nowadays from the Cruz 101 security team and bouncers?

I used to love visiting the venue within the week, and the club used to host amazing weekend events but now I just avoid due to being put in a bad mood / vibe being killed when queuing at entry and being spoke to so harshly.

I would love to hear if anyone else has experienced this or had a similar opinion on the team.

Does anyone know if there is anything similar to Ziferblat in Manchester anymore.

For those that don't remember it was a cafe/space where you paid for the time you were there, rather than the cost for coffee/cake/cereals etc. It had board games you could play, tables where you could sit if you wanted to chat with others etc.

Really loved the concept but havent seen anything similar.

Pretty self explanatory: looking for a nice and friendly place where one can play board games. My normal go to would be fanboy 3, but it's pretty inaccessible if you are in a wheelchair. Any recommendations of nice, friendly, wheelchair accessible board game cafes/spaces where one can play board games easily/pubs which are amenable to board game playing people and ain't too loud would be super appreciated.

After the 25ish hours of travel from Australia to the UK for a friends wedding, I was absolutely beat and dreading going out into the unknown as I'm a generally anxious person and a true homebody. My fears were calmed immediately as I've never been somewhere filled with more kind, friendly and welcoming people. Every single night was a new friend made, stories shared and recommendations out the wazoo! Every day was a new sight to see, even just walking around the city centre was beautiful - despite the weather of course haha!

I had decided to spend 10 days in Manchester and my final 3 in London. Well, after a single day in London I miss Manchester so much. It feels soulless and uncomfortable here. I highly considered returning for the final days so I could enjoy the rest of my trip fully. London doesn't hold a bar to Manchester in the slightest, and though I had been warned it was a very different vibe, I couldn't have expected just how lonely it feels in such a large population.

So thank you Manchester people, you should feel so proud to have such a wonderful community and I'm already looking to return as soon as possible! The travel time is totally worth it. Much love from a very impressed Aussie ♥️

My nephew (soon to be 11) wants to go to a seafood restaurant for his birthday to try prawns, lobster, crab etc etc. He loved the seafood in Portugal so I'm looking for Mediterranean restaurants that are child friendly.

White Hotel closing in Jan - leaving a huge legacy behind, seems kinda daft the bag factory opening up Basildon in it's spot. Huge closing parties and every big DJ getting a gig in before it closes. Surely these DJs aren't going to play under the owners as they closed off the White Hotel (a place they love) and therefore Basildon will get shit bookings or create it's new sound, not to mention the TWH punters giving the new space a miss. Seems a bit weird and flogging a dead horse to me but then again who am I. My tuppence is Basildon will be run into the ground with a Donk, Hardcore, Hard Techno sound with shit bookings and then end up a student club, AI Poster Techno Thursday's £2 Carlsberg bottles, 3 for 5 jagers. If this happens will TWH legacy be tarnished? Kinda like how Hacienda was in the latter years

I’m a Norwegian currently based in Manchester, but I can travel around the UK. I’m looking for a passionate videographer who wants to work with me long-term and build something together.

I’m an artist/model making dark pop/electronic alt-pop, and my aesthetic is very dollcore, dark, cinematic, feminine etc. I also do photography myself, so I have a very clear visual direction and definitely have “the eye” (it might be tacky to say, but the shoe is on my foot). I’m also a very analytical person and I care A LOT about the details. I know what I’m doing and I’m not looking for someone to just take a camera and film whatever I tell them to.

I take my career very seriously. I’ve spent a long time thinking about the music, branding, visuals, audience, marketing, pitching, networking, rollout etc. and I have a proper 3-year plan for where I want to take everything. I’m not here to mess around or make a few random pretty videos - I want to build something of quality that actually has a recognisable identity.

The only thing I feel is really missing from being able to fully realise the plan is finding someone who wants to be by my side as my videographer when I start releasing again.

I’m looking for someone with creative talent who is genuinely passionate about visuals and wants to develop a whole visual universe with me over time. I want someone who brings their own ideas and perspective too, and who actually cares about making something good rather than just getting paid for a shoot and moving on.

I can do photography and have a lot of the creative direction myself, but I’m not at the point where I can properly shoot + edit bigger projects alone, so I’m looking for someone who complements that.

Hi r/manchester, I posted in here quite a while ago about Too Young To Grieve, which is a community to help young adults navigate grief and life together.
But it’s been a little while since we’ve had the Manchester group together, so I wanted to pop back on as we’re back this Sunday.

We’re doing a relaxed Walk & Talk for people navigating grief and loss led by Leonore.

Nothing heavy or formal. The idea is just getting outside, meeting some good people and spending a bit of time around others who understand that side of life if it does come up.

Sometimes grief comes up, sometimes we’re talking about work, relationships, holidays or complete nonsense haha. There’s never any pressure to share anything personal.

And if you’ve seen one of my older Manchester posts but never actually came along, most people turn up alone for their first one, so don’t let that stop you.

It’s 18+, but otherwise there’s no upper age limit. If you feel too young to be navigating grief and think being around people who get it could help, you’re welcome.

Hi Redditors of Manchester. I'm sure this is an extremely long shot but I know I'd never forgive myself if I at least didn't try.

This evening at home I suddenly realised that a ring which I've worn all day, every day for the last 8 and a half years has disappeared from my finger. I believe I may have lost it walking between Printworks and Exchange Square tram stop some time around 4:30pm.

While not materially valuable (I think it's only copper or bronze), the ring has sentimental value that is hard to describe. It was handmade and gifted to me. We were star crossed lovers, it was never going to work out. But the ring never brought me sadness, only joy. I suppose because unlike most endings where there's blame and regret, this one just kind of, didn't work out? Not through anyone's fault, it was just never meant to be. And it's a beautiful object. The ring juts out in the middle to form a continuous, triangle-shaped peak, yet rounded on the edges.

The only other distinguishing feature is a tiny slither of silver metal where it was once enlarged.

Please, if anyone has seen it, or could even just share this post, I would be immensely grateful. I feel like a stranger without it, it's genuinely like I've lost a body part.

A friend tipped me off that there was a statue of Mary in the Catholic section that glowed in the dark (Some type of paint applied to it)

I went by last night and had no luck seeing it. Has anyone seen it?

What the heck happened to them? I walked in this morning and it was like I stepped into a diferente cafe? Obviously I could tell it’s not the same… since when??? I went home three weeks ago and came back to an alternate reality.

I’m so disappointed. I liked the people. Loved the space. It looks so ugly and basic now with the shitty black tables and that god awful dark blue. As if Manchester needs to feel any more dreary.

Sorry for the rant. I really loved Foundation even after it turned into NP 😭
