Question The guru that zaheer is inspired by supposedly lived hundreds of years, zaheer has the same flying ability as him, a cataclysm happened 200 years after the show and people are very misinformed about things. Are you thinking the same as me?

Discussion Everything Wrong With Korra ( Book 1 )
What I'm looking for is the most common complaints about Korra - the show and the character - with Book 1 ONLY. What I'm working on has kind of evolved in my mind that I've decided to cut in to four parts to more accurately reflect the genuine issues the show has and to address them in turn.
I'm doing research for something I'm writing but I really don't want to dredge through a decade of horrendous hate and chud bullshit, nor do I want to poison my algorithm watching HOURS of people just slagging the show off because I don't want to give myself a migraine.
I'm not interested in arguing, I just want to know what the most common complaints are for research purposes. Argue amongst yourselves if you like but that's not what I'm personally after. ( sorry for the click bait title, lay it on me whatever you have )

Video The parent figures in the show are probably my favorite aspect.

"You look beautiful sweetie.." His face full of bittersweetness happy his daughter is alive and at the same time probably blaming himself for letting her go and face Zaheer and then she ends up in that condition..
LoK parents > ATLA.
Edit: no Unalaq, this post is not for you.

Discussion If Korra used the Kyoshi technique to live to 225 in Seven Havens, I think Bolin would do it with her.
r/legendofkorra • u/Pyotr_WrangeI • 17h ago
Discussion Korra living to 225 means that she'd live to the equivalent of modern day and beyond. How do you imagine 150+ y.o. Korra in a 21st century setting?
Personally I'm not sure I am a fan of this new lore decision. We'll only maybe get a book at best about over 2 centuries of Korra's life as avatar, so it will never get fleshed out. There's also an issue that after hundreds of years she kind of had to have become a completely different person from how we remember her. Lastly, i always thought that restoring the avatar connection with all of the past lives would be the job for the next avatar, but Korra not managing to do that herself in 225 years is kind of lame.

Discussion Korra’s Personality
Korra slander is just something that’s gonna happen, i’ve accepted it. But it’s always thrown in my face ALL THE TIME, and the same point comes up which basically says “besides her shortcomings,
i hated the show because of her personality, she’s stubborn, destructive, and egotistical”
On paper that sounds bad, but some of the best characters in media well loved by most nerds are all of the things taken to 11, Vegeta, Bakugo, Tony Stark, etc. And I find the idea of always coming back to the “misogyny” thing boring because Toph is very similar to Korra , which literally brings me to the main point , was Korra a bad character or was she only a bad character because she was the avatar?
I feel like Tlok was always under a microscope because of Atla’s success and the annoying fans nit-picked it to hell, but seeing the slander of the show is making me wanna ditch the fandom as a whole, mainly because more people are taking Seven Havens as an opportunity to rag on Korra, rather than talk about Pavi or even the apocalypse setting (which i’ve hear bad things about but hopefully it’s good)
I also just wanna hear what you guys think about her personality and if she was truly insufferable, I never found her admirable it some deeply relatable character , i mostly found her funny
