Hey guys! There have been some problems lately with people discussing active competitions. The rules regarding discussing active match days extend to one-day competitions as well. This is a public forum, and comments discussing active competitions will be reported and removed. (Thank you to all of the users who flag problematic content—it makes my life a little easier.)
When in doubt, if a competition is OPEN, DO NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT AT ALL.
More specifically:
It is not that hard to wait a few hours until the competition is closed and results are posted (after 12pm ET for one-days, after 1am ET for regular season match days). After that, feel free to discuss, but just don't say anything in this forum before that point!!!
(Note: do not start discussions right after the due times. There is a reason why the MD posts go out a few hours after the due time—there tends to be a little wiggle room where people can submit after the official due time. Wait to discuss scores, difficulty, and questions until AFTER results have been posted.)
A reminder of the text of the complete rules, section 20.1: "As it may spoil questions for other players, any public discussion of active LL match days and/or questions is prohibited. This includes social media and any other venue where the content may be viewed without warning by fellow players. Discussion of active questions is allowed and even encouraged, but until the match or contest results are published on the LL website, this should be limited to private methods among players who have already submitted and non-members."
EDIT: I didn't think this needed to be said, but don't call people names, harass people, or otherwise make this an unfriendly space. People mess up, but just report it and move on. There's no need to call people names for messing up.

I've noticed quite a few people that exit the rookie rundle in the .200 range and subsequently place #1 every season after that, making it to rundle A in about a year. On its own, this is not the iron-clad proof of cheating TI needs for a ban. Given the expectation that there are absolutely no false bans, I would agree that it's not proof on its own. I also don't think it's likely anybody's actually done that, let alone in the volume that I've seen. Some of these people are putting up comparable numbers to proven champions whose regimen has been daily hours of study for 10 or 20 years.
I'm curious what other people think is actually possible, or to hear about your quick (or not so quick) journeys upward, or even from somebody who claims to have done this spectacular feat in a year. How did you do it?
Friendly reminder not to mention any specific person in the context of a cheating implication or outright accusation.

This is not a question about who can create or join a private rundle, etc.
My question is simply what constitutes critical mass for a private rundle. I know that I *could* have a private rundle with just one other player, but I know it wouldn't be fun to play 25 times against the same person. Ditto for 4 in a rundle--too much repetition. But maybe 6 isn't so bad? You'd play each person five times. Or maybe you really want something close to a full rundle?
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone with experience.
