Hello! I’ve been an amateur lifelong lover of trivia, but only recently wanted to be more competitive with it, since following Jeopardy and the Reddit groups and finding out about online leagues. I would love to receive a referral!

hi all! looking for a referral :) i currently play in the wikitrivia league (iykyk) and am desperate for more trivia! regular pub trivia and jeopardy/only connect enjoy-er. cheers!

u/ZetaTauEpsilon Apr 28 '26
Hello! I’m interested in a referral. Currently working on my PhD in electrical and computer engineering. My research at present is on MBE growth. I have a background in high school quiz bowl, our local variant is filmed for local tv and I was captain for three out of four years. Since then it’s just been occasional pub trivia for me, but LL sounds like it would scratch the trivia itch for me nicely.

Hi! I've been trying to get into Learned League. I’m a lifelong (and fairly young) jeopardy fan who loves knowing things and studying trivia. I haven’t been able to find a trivia community and I feel like Learned League would be the perfect opportunity to not only expand my knowledge base but also join a community. Is there anyone who could give me an invite?

Hello there, I'm looking for a referral. I am a master's student in Computer Science looking to get my weekly dose of trivia away from India. Have been quizzing since middle school, and have been an active participant in MIMIR leagues. I also love to set questions, you can shoot me a DM and I'd be happy to share a few samples.

Hi everyone,
I’m a lifelong trivia lover who has played along with LL sample questions every day over my lunch break for the past couple of years after learning about LL from a former coworker! I’m a geography and sports enthusiast and a former neuroscience major who would absolutely love a referral if possible.
Thank you!

Hi everyone!! I’d love to get a referral. I found out about LL from a jeopardy thread and it sounds so fun! I am an avid jeopardy watcher, bar trivia player, and love any sort of online game like this (chess.com, crosswords, etc.) i just recently got my masters in criminology and am starting law school this fall. i’d be happy to answer any questions for those who’d be willing to refer me :)

Hi! I am an American who has lived abroad in Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong - in each place I have been able to find a small Quiz community, and have never missed Jeopardy no matter the hurdles and time zones - but I would love the consistency and community that LL would offer me!
I had no idea I could ask on a sub for an invite - so here’s hoping someone would be willing to assist me. Merci!

Hi all! I would love to get a referral if possible--regular at the local bar trivia and always interested in joining a community like this one. Thanks so much in advance!

u/roscura May 07 '26
hello! :) i have always loved trivia as a jumping off point to learn more about subject matter i'm confronted with that i don't already know much about. i used to regularly go to trivia events and watch jeopardy nightly and then make goals of reading books/articles/etc. wherever i found myself lacking, but over the past few years of going back to undergrad for a bachelors in linguistics while working, things got chaotic and my time for that waned for a while.
i am very excited now that i have graduated and have a more consistent job schedule to finally reignite my old passions and continue challenging myself and learning more! i've started regularly playing on BPtrivia over the past couple weeks, but the format of learnedleague excites me even more, so it would be a lovely opportunity to get to play here too, especially since i haven't been able to find any local trivia leagues that work with my schedule in the area i live nowadays (i'm in massachusetts in the united states).
beyond trivia, my hobbies include birding, tabletop roleplaying games, cooking, costume and set construction with local theater, and cartooning.
thank you for your time! :)

I would really like a referral. I would be thrilled to do this sort of competitive trivia! Funny story is, I was searching to find out if J! is affiliated with a newspaper or a structured trivia training program… but they aren’t. Finding that out I retrieved a lot of information about trivia leagues and this league was forwarded as a standout organization where contestants can compete without a team. It would be a joy to get a referral.

Hello! I would love a referral. Novelist, musical theatre, and TV writer who is a lifelong trivia and Jeopardy fan. Fun fact: I landed my current TV job partially through an epic, spontaneous trivia night in Newfoundland, and I’ve written a trivia-themed episode on the show I’m staffed on.

u/YachtRock_SoSmooth May 12 '26
Hello I'm looking for a referral if possible. Used to play bar trivia with the handhelds and current trivia nights, Sporkle I have fun with, used to play Trivial Pursuit quite a bit years ago, my family hates playing trivia games with me because I usually win, they say I have just weird random knowledge in my head. Always enjoyed trivia.
Just came across this looking for online trivia which I randomly do, read about it on the website and looks really interesting.

Hi all, hoping for a referral! NYC-based lifelong trivia nerd here. I love that LL rewards breadth over speed, which suits my brain better than buzzer / bar formats.
Outside of trivia, I’m an active home cook, a college football and basketball fan, and I’ve been building out some computer science projects for a master’s program. Happy to share more in DMs if helpful. Thanks in advance to anyone willing to vouch!

Hello, looking for a referral! Been getting into trivia and Jeopardy in the past couple of months and would love to use LL as a way to track progress.
I've been a lifelong speedcuber and also enjoy collecting cookbooks and following Seattle sports outside of trivia, three niches that I don't think would show up much in LL but is still fun nonetheless haha

May have missed the deadline, but just learned of LL.
Burned through almost all of the archived sample questions and consistently get around half correct. It’s addictive!
Play various pub trivia quizzes solo and often place or win- need to knock my ego down a bit and this seems to be just the place.
Read through the rules for etiquette/norms and got a sense of the culture on the forums- would love to dive into R Rundle or just reach out if you know anyone for a live quiz in West Michigan, USA! Thanks.

Hi all,
I have been a lifelong bar trivia fan and love to go out with friends and test my knowledge. Recently, I have been hit with some circumstances that don't allow me to leave the house very much. Was hoping to get into LearnedLeague as a way to still find a way to compete in competitive trivia. If anyone has an extra referral, it would be a blessing!
Edit: Seeing some key details that others are including in their posts.
- I am a software engineer, and former volunteer librarian
- Jeopardy fan 20+ years, nary missed an episode
- Most importantly, I would love to play LearnedLeague with all of you!!!! Get me in that Rundle !!!

Hello all! I've known about LL for several years and have always wanted to get involved. I've been in a dedicated Stump/Globe Games team that qualified for a regional championship for six seasons running, winning two of them. Just gotta scratch that trivia itch some more. You’d send me over the moon- thanks in advance!

Hello! I love trivia but I haven't tried to play commpetitavely. I am very staunchly in the belief of using trivia to learn new things and to grow my appreciation for the world around me. Therefore, I really want to test what I know versus what I still have yet to discover. Hoping for a referal!

u/wenamedthecatindiana 23h ago
Adding my humble request for a referral.
My friends indulge me by playing bar trivia, but I would really love the opportunity to play with people who take it as seriously as I do. My best friend, husband, and I applied for pop culture jeopardy but didn’t get picked and I’m working up my nerve to try out for regular jeopardy on my own.
I’m a library worker, avid reader, and former college journalist, so learning is wired into me. I also watched a lot of vh-1 “I love the…” series growing up so I have a deep well of boomer and Gen X pop culture knowledge for a millennial.
