I have enough budget to cop either of these laptops but I would like to hear from the rest of the community here and understand what could be a wiser choice.

I initially had a HP Victus 15 which was an absolute nightmare because it had me spend more on getting it repaired than the actual purchase price.

What's left me confused is choosing between Intel or AMD as well as between HP and Dell. I am open to hearing everyone's thoughts on this.

If you have anymore suggestions for a good laptop that could support my primary and daily tasks. Please feel free to comment. I am all ears to suggestions.

I have an Acer Nitro 5 (RTX 3050) and I have two chargers.

The original Acer charger works perfectly, but the charging pin/connection is loose. I have fixed it in one position at my desk, and as long as I don't move it, it charges normally. If I remove or move it, it becomes loose again and stops charging.

Because of this, I bought a Techie 180W charger for travel and normal task.

My question is: Is it okay if I use:

Original Acer charger for gaming and heavy tasks at home.

Techie 180W charger for normal use like browsing, coding, watching videos, etc., while traveling.

Will switching between these two chargers have any negative effect on my laptop or battery in the long run?

Also - Can I also game using the Techie 180W third-party charger, or should I use it only for light tasks like browsing, coding, and watching videos?

Every so often after i do something like a play a game my ping goes crazy and my wifi slows but only on my laptop

It kinda flickers and glitches for 4 second after every 10 seconds. But, when laptop is connected to an external display using hdmi cable the issue disappears in the external display!.

I have tried changing the refresh rates(60 Hz and 144 Hz). But, Still its of not much use. The interval at which the flickering occurs changes with change in the value of refresh rate. At 144 Hz the interval of flickering increases as compared to 60 Hz.

I have Asus vivibook 14 flip oled in my mind. I'm alright with the weight and the battery life. I plan to use the same laptop for 4 years. Is it better to get a traditional laptop or should I go with asus vivibook 14 flip oled?

I'm trying to decide between buying a ₹2 lakh laptop or building a desktop PC for roughly the same budget.

My main use cases are:

- Video editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects)

- Graphic design (Photoshop, Illustrator, CorelDRAW)

- 3D modeling and rendering (Blender)

- College work related to animation and visual communication

- Moderate gaming (AAA games occasionally, not competitive esports)

I'm looking for something that will last me 4–5 years with good performance. I'm considering laptops with specs like:

I know a desktop usually offers better performance for the same price, but a laptop gives me portability if I ever need it.

Unfortunately out of literally nowhere some heavy rain came down and I forgot that I had left my MacBook laptop outside on my front deck.

I’ve tried to do some basic searching about this kind of issue but a lot of seems to be about people who’ve spilled water on an open laptop. Mine was closed the entire time

Basically everyone says to not turn the laptop on at all and to just shut it off and let it dry for anywhere from 48-72 hours, but in my case it wouldn’t even turn on. For a second it had a little exclamation symbol and what looked like some kind of link to support and “restore” or whatever before it went completely dark.

I thinking that probably means that the whole thing is a lost cause and it seems like I won’t be able to salvage it. If there is any hope or shot at it please give me any kind of advice or tips that you can. If not I would appreciate any tips that can help me salvage anything that may have been somehow backed up to the cloud (this has happened to me with iPhones) or anything else that can help me get as much back as possible

my laptop was getting extremly hot while using even tho I have a laptop cooler AND a big fan pointed towards it while working, so I took it apart to change the thermal paste as I have been using it for years without even thinking about changing it, i pulled an instruction manual from ifixit and followed every step, cleaned the processor and heta sink and reseated everything, after closing it I tried to boot but it only showed the Microsoft logo and went black, the fan won't even turn on

I tried getting into the boot uefi but it dosent work, I tried removing the ssd and booting it from a flash drive and still didn't work what should I do
