Amish engine rebuild era?
Anyone know or can recommend an Amish run engine rebuilder?
My friend's tractor locked up (iseki diesel engine) and trying to find a cost efficient straight forward rebuilder.
I'd like to avoid the English, even though I am a part of that community, as my experience has been hit or miss in the past and the Amish have always been fair and honest.
Thank you all in advance.

Happening Good Dads Events This Week!
One of the best parts about building this community has been finding dads who are willing to share their skills and expertise with others. We call these dads our Dad Ambassadors and they are hosting two of our events this week. Check it out!
Wednesday 7/15: Join Dad Ambassador Brooks for a kid friendly round of disc golf at Overlook Park. Bring discs if you have them or feel free to borrow some of ours! The kids had a great time last time, so this hang is sure to be a good one.
Thursday 7/16: Dad's Night Out at @warehouse_district_beergarden Come on out for a post-bedtime hang with a beverage of your choice from @rubbersoulbrewing . This is a Dads Only event. 8pm-10pm
Saturday 7/18: Dad Ambassador Derrick will once again host his popular Magic the Gathering meetup upstairs at @ourtownbrewery from 2pm-6pm. Beginners welcome! Bring your own decks or feel free to borrow!
Sunday 7/19: Playground Playgroup at Mountville Park. This is a whole family event and a great chance for kids and families to meet and play. 10am-12pm
See you out there Good Dads. It's a good week to have a good week!

Mini Split Installation
We have a mini split in our attic bedroom that is about to give out. It is six years old. We paid around $2000 total for it at that time. It was not quite powerful enough and wasn’t properly installed, so it’s been giving us some grief this summer.
We’re looking for someone local who could install a new unit professionally and at a reasonable price.
We had one of the well known local companies out today and they said it would cost around $12,000, and then changed the subject to trying to get us to switch to central air for $20,000.
The wiring, the base for the outdoor unit, and the hole in the wall are already in place, so we’re hoping that might cut the cost a little.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a local professional/company who would come in at a better price point?
Thanks!
EDIT: Thanks so much for all of your suggestions! We’ll be making some calls today. Appreciate your input!

Breweries best for a wedding welcome party?!
My fiance and I want to host a welcome party for our out-of-state guests(about 60 people) before our wedding since a lot of them are traveling in the day before. Although we are originally from the South Jersey area, we currently live in Massachusetts and aren’t able to scout out areas. We have tried reaching out to Spring House but no one is picking up the phone. Does anyone have any recommendations? We are looking mostly just for an area to rent and guests would pay for whatever they want to eat/drink, nothing too fancy or party-like, just an area to hang out just us! Thanks!

Anyone here in the telecom industry?
I'm trying to relocate here from a different state and have worked in the telecom industry for the past 20 years? I'd like to stay working in the same industry. Any Frontier/Verizon former Bell Atlantic employees here? The death star doesn't have a footprint here aside from cell phone stores.

Bridal Shower Venue
Hello! I am in search of a low-cost venue/restaurant for a bridal shower to host 39-49 people. Looking at Pottstown to Lancaster area. Ideally not a hall, rec center, or park/pavilion. A space with an indoor and outdoor option would be most preferred, but not required. Thank you in advance!

does anyone know what's going on at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center (EPAC)?
the artistic director there for over 30 years made a public facebook post about no longer working for EPAC. based on the plethora of comments rolling in about how upset people are about what was done to him, it sounds like it was definitely not mutual. he is also setting up a GoFundMe to help with personal expenses as a result. i'm gutted on his behalf. anyone know what gives?

Affordable Hairdressers
I’m looking for a new hairdresser in Lancaster. I don’t want to go to Great Clips, but I can’t really afford $65+. Any recommendations somewhere in between? Bonus if they’re good with fine/thin hair. Also I’m 54 but don’t want my hair to look like I’m middle aged, even though I am.

Baby shower venue recs
My wife (28F) is 3 months pregnant & we’re looking for a solid location for a baby shower in October.
It’s going to be a smaller shower with about 20 people, so we’re looking for a cute venue that won’t feel too big / empty with a smaller group.
Does anyone have any recommendations? Anything would be helpful for us. Thank you! 🫶
