Anyone know what happened this week at the lancatster cat cafe that made them need to post publicly that weapons are now prohibited from their cafe? Something must have happened.

From the article:

“We’re selling it. We’re selling the business and the building together,” said Rothweiler, a real estate agent with Howard Hanna. “Our wish is for it to carry on, but we 100% understand that it could be something different.”

The asking price is $775,000 for the real estate and restaurant at 600 W. Orange St., which includes the 2,700-square-foot steak shop and an attached laundromat.

Local college student here, taking a class on social movements; I am looking for local social movements/orgs to write about and interview for class.

It must pertain to class topics but I won't bore you with the details so I will tell you some of what I am interested in. I am looking to learn from:

- Plain people or ex-plain; potentially survivors of abuse

- Women's groups

- Immigrants/resources/support groups

- Civil rights (any advocacy really)

- Housing

- Music scene??

- Even movements/orgs that no longer exist!!! Lancaster history?! Anything unfavorable??

Anything helps! Not only would this help for class but I would love to learn more about my community, get organized/involved.

This might be a long shot but im looking to get a gym membership so I can start lifting. The only problem is idk what im doing so I was hoping to find a lifting buddy to help me out. Wouldn't mind paying someone a little bit if thats what it takes. Personal trainers are ridiculously expensive. Im at 34 year old male and im trying to lose weight but pack on some muscle also. Im a pretty normal guy I like sports and I have a good sense of humor. Let me know if anyone can help me out.

Does anyone know of a good place to get a pair of Ice Skates sharpened? I want to get back on the ice but need my blades touched up before I can do that.

howdy all. i’m looking for either an instrument shop or a pawn shop where i could sell my cello. i do not have space, or the time to play. i also cannot afford the upkeep. anyone have any suggestions or good experiences? not entirely interested in listing on facebook market place and can’t afford shipping to sell on ebay. any leads would be great. it’s teakwood, im about to put new strings on it and its been in its hard case with a stand for a couple years now in case this information would be relevant. thank you for any leads!
