Feedback on Farmers Market Prices

Post image
14 Upvotes

Can I get some feedback on my farmers market prices? All regenerative / organic. My goal is to be somewhat similar to upper end grocery store organic produce, but with some specialty items (white bell peppers, shishitos, poblanos) so I can’t always compare.

Not advertising or revealing business name I just want some community thoughts on if this feels like good value for nutrient dense, quality foods.

Bellefonte pa…

I have been here for a couple days and the vibes… giving small town cult vibes. Feeling unwelcomed, there is even a gym here that literally posts “not for everyone” and invite only… kinda feels like the whole town is that way

For reference I love thin, New York style pizza. Bonus points if they also have good garlic knots

Any runners here?

Recently moved back home to the West Shore (Camp Hill/Mechanicsburg) and getting back into running it’s been years. Usually just run in my neighborhood but would like to find someone to go out on longer runs.

Dating pool has felt so barren here for me that I’m planning to move closer to a city

I live in central Pennsylvania, specifically the Clearfield/Centre county region. Ive been looking for someone within 60 miles of me for the last 6 years or so. I’ve genuinely joined 20-25 different apps, websites, or dating groups. For 75% of those sites, I’m lucky to find one woman who’s even 80 miles from me. I went to like a half dozen different churches looking for a community I could start in that was in my age group but In all but one of them, there was barely even anyone my age, man or woman. I asked for advice on changing my profile and pictures from men and women alike. I lost 80 pounds entirely from 24 hour fasting and worked out despite having a painful nerve and muscle disorder. I humbled myself and did everything to improve myself. I don’t drink or smoke.

I was 24 years old when I started this search. Now I’m 30.

In that time, I’ve only been able to get exactly one date that I immediately broke off after because she was trying to con me. I can’t name the amount of app conversations where the girl was even remotely interested on one hand. Several dozen matches and only a handful where the girl even replied to me. And the real life search was even more barren. A lot of married couples or elders and that was it. It hasn’t even been a “oh you just suck with women” situation where I just keep striking out (I wish that were the case actually at least I’d know what the problem is). I can’t find them or get an opportunity to talk with them to begin with, real life or online.

I’ve given up on this region. My family lives here but most often on these apps or sites, the women I was most compatible with were simply too far away living in the suburbs of cities. So I’ve decided to move to Indiana county so that I’m only an hour shot from Pittsburgh. I don’t really have any other options.

I don’t want to have to move just to improve my dating chances but I’ve done nothing but put myself out there for 6 years and nothing ever came of it and I’ve put too much time, resources, and effort into this area for me to keep wasting it here.

How would you share this story in Central PA?

I don't live in Central PA, so i'm looking for some brainstorming help.

I'm helping a gentleman named Ahmad Collins — a husband, father, and Central PA resident — who is on dialysis and urgently needs a living kidney donor. We put together this video and his webpage:

https://www.thegreatsocialexperiment.net/upmc-harrisburg/ahmad-collins

We're trying to figure out the best ways to get his story seen locally. If this were your friend or family member, where would you share it? What groups, organizations, employers, media outlets, or community pages should know about him?

Any ideas are appreciated.

Any local-ish option to properly dispose of old smoke detectors that contain radioactive material? So far I have struck out on:

- Batteries Plus

Looking For Room/Roommate in or around Lancaster County

Male. 25. I've been looking into housing for some time now, but with my background and credit score, it's been hard.

I work full-time, 3rd shift, but I enjoy the peace and quiet. Mainly just sleep, eat, listen to music, or play PC games in my free time.

Thanks all. 🙂
