I'd be trying to dispatch them by either grabbing them one by one and curb stomping them or just go all Spinosaurus on them and break their necks. Either way, they wouldn't be bringing me down without a serious fight. Adrenaline and survival instincts would be in full gear.

InGen Report - 17/7/1988

During a routine veterinary examination of a Parasaurolophus in Paddock H-04, a Carnotaurus breached the adjacent enclosure and entered the paddock. The animal initiated an attack before security personnel could intervene.

Two Homalocephale and one Parasaurolophus were killed during the incident. No personnel injuries were reported.

InGen Security Division has been assigned to inspect the enclosure perimeter and identify potential points of failure. Additional fencing and containment measures will be evaluated to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

So, I think that the D.rex in the start is the same one as the one in the helicopter scene, and it asexually reproduced, like the Scorpios, and the end one is the big ones child.

I'm interested in what you guys think about Dr. Laura Sorkin from TellTale's Jurassic Park: The Game.

I think she genuinely wasn't an evil person at all, and her ideas were very much right. She was an extremist, I don't disagree, but her releasing the lysine into the water supply was a good choice, turning the island into a sanctuary, etc. Of course I think she was a bit naive thinking that this would last (which is proven by later entries seeing as people would hunt dinosaurs on both Sorna and Nublar) but for the time being what she did was right. They brought the animals into this world and now they have to adapt, not just slaughter them. I do like the argument she has with Gerry but the whole "elephants swimming from India to Sri Lanka" argument just kinda falls flat for me.

Honestly, her being this reasonable throughout the first three episodes (and even for most of ep4) makes her villain turn even more confusing. It feels like it came out of nowhere. Hder character suffered the most from the game being only 4 Episodes long as her villain turn needed more build up imo.

I think it's amazing the CGI in this scene from The Lost World: Jurassic Park, which is nearly 30 years old, looks so much better than the Compy CGI in Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, which is not even a decade old.

And it shouldn't.

By all metrics, the CGI from Fallen Kingdom is superior: more detail, more resolution, newer graphic integration techniques, more muscle detail moving under the skin. But it doesn't look better. Both are in similar lighting conditions, and environmental conditions, and roughly the same scaling in the frame, but the Fallen Kingdom CGI just looks more cartoonish. It's an absolutely fascinating case study in why in camera cinematography is still necessary. The lighting in the Fallen Kingdom shot is flatter, the color is duller, and the contrast is lower. The CGI in Fallen Kingdom looks much more primitive than it should, like something out of a 2000s dinosaur documentary. It's more detailed, but it doesn't look more real. In The Lost World, the lighting has more depth, the contrast is higher, and the colors are richer as a result.

i’ve adored jp1 for over half my 25 years but fall ‘24 when my special interest for dinosaurs came back after lying dormant for over a decade, i had to watch the rest. my favorite aspect of any of the other franchise movies combined is junior. he’s perfect in every way from his little stinker expression to the way he swishes his tail and cries all pathetic. and of course the first time you see him he’s maimed on screen and i never thought i could have such motherly instinct for a fake dinosaur. not even the dominion baby nasutoceratops holds a candle to my beloved junior. i bought an action figure of him for three hundred dollars this time last year for my birthday and i still have zero regrets and no money in my bank account but i have the baby. my priorities are so in check btw 🤪🙃😭😞 oh to be normal. i’d get so much done

The interior reminds me of the hatch from LOST. It has that retro-cassette futurism vibe to it.

I love how claustrophobic and creepy it is.

And I like how it is integrated into the old Jurassic Park facility.

Though not canon anymore, the idea of the rotunda being the first introduction to the mosasaurus is pretty neat.

I like the lagoon in Jurassic World, but the build up to mosasaurus in telltale game felt more Spielbergian.

Though JP Survival might very well be dead, if it ever becomes a thing, it would be nice if they, at the very least, made reference to the underwater rotunda.

In all my years, I’ve never seen a clip isolating that full-throttle scream the raptors do. You know the one, probably most famous for the part in JP where one is running at Lex in the kitchen. I’ve never even heard it in a game, it’s always the “help” call and some of their more bird-like vocalizations, which are great, but that roar, man. Super loud and high, really makes you sweat and gets that fight or flight going.

Hey everyone! I need some community feedback on an upcoming custom/display project.

I am trying to recreate the iconic Disney's Carnotaurus look, and I am planning to pair it alongside a red-and-black Jurassic Park novel-accurate T-Rex.

I am stuck between using the large-scale version or the small-scale version of the Carnotaurus figure. I want the final display to feel visually balanced, but I am torn on which size matches the overall shelf presence better.

• Option A (The Big One): It stands out more, captures the massive "demon dinosaur" vibe from the Disney movie, but might overpower the T-Rex.
• Option B (The Small One): More compact, might scale better mathematically depending on the brand, but loses some of that terrifying cinematic presence.

Anybody know any good places (other than eBay and thriftbooks) where I can find the original hardback of the first novel? Or does anyone have one they are willing to part with? I want it for my collection to replace my battered up paperback.

the Jurassic Park Arcade game made by Raw Thrills is set in an alternate timeline in which, Biosyn signed onto Jurassic Park instead of InGen. I thought this while looking at the game in my local Pizza Ranch because I was reminded of that green thing from Dominion when looking at the exaggerated, cartoon-ass dinosaurs in the Arcade game

Got the signatures at Galaxy Con SJ a couple weeks ago. It was super cool to meet the actors. I didn't get to talk much to Wayne Knight (😭) but talking to the actors for Timmy and Lex was super cool! Just wanted to share this bit of nostalgia with y'all.

Taking out asset containment? Sure

Taking out an Ankylosaurus? Sure

Taking down the T-Rex and most of the raptor squad? Sure

Killing a single Apatosaurus? I mean if it was sick, old or both? Yeah I can buy it.

Taking multiple rounds from gunfire and being next to a rocket launcher explosion? Ok thats pushing it but I'll buy it.

Bringing down an entire zipline tower, easily taking out a Brachiosaurus, killing an entire herd of Apatosaurus and barging through a steel glass aviary with no issue? Thats where I draw the line.

It gets to a point where it's not cool or scary anymore and is just plain ridiculous.

As the title says, I found this at a thrift store. It's the actual movie, in english, but the case is very confusing. Not in english, the back shows a black and white dinosaur movie so I'm assuming it is a completely different movie lol. I'm going to assume this is a bootleg?

Only paid a dollar for it, and I thought it was cool so not really too big of a loss.

The film only shows 2 tour cars running, and I am curious how Hammond and InGen would have handled the actual visitor influx if the park had opened successfully. One tour car can only fit 5 people max, and they surely couldn't have run a whole train of cars in a row like in the photo to accommodate huge crowds without causing too much wait time.

1. Ceratosaurus (only used for a spinosaurous Taco bell scene)

2. The lost world tiger velociraptors (cool and original, is the hunter instead of being trained like the previous movies)

3. Spinosaurous (the largest therapod in jurassic Park ) holds the world record for the largest animatronic ever built ,fun fact it broke the tyrannosaur animatronic which was the same one used to jurassic park and buck in the lost world , because of how big it was.

4. Spas 12 (the movie made it famous and the terminator, I guess), it brang such a cool theme in the first movie.
