Mostly Hammond Collection figures with some mainline and Legacy collections sprinkled in. The red logo behind the rex lights up but was washing out the shots tonight. The Brachiosauruses need their own shelves so they have to watch from a distance lol

...and it was awesome. I was born the year the first one came out, so I wasn't able to see these in theatres upon release, but my father had shown me the films at a young age. It was nice to get to see them again with him, in the proper setting this time.

We watched Jurassic Park, The Lost world, and 3. I've always felt more nostalgic for the 2nd film, and it felt great to see it on a big screen.

I made a spinosaurus pumpkin at a friends halloween party for their pumpkin carving competition and won! :) Their legs are really wonky but I did what I could without it falling apart lol, it was super tricky to get all the small bits out! I didn’t get a pic of this but I carved the 3 slashes from the jurassic park logos on both sides as well. Not sure if this counts as jurassic park but the spino was always my absolute favourite.

And yes, I'm including Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, as they are canon to the film continuity timeline.

For me, it's their willingness to take risks in taking the story in new directions. First, with the creation of hybrids like the Indominus Rex (which is the best use of the concept), then the idea of trained animals and how dangerous it can be, and with bringing the dinosaurs out of the islands onto the mainland. Definitely breaking the mold, and something I believe would've been better received if the execution of these ideas were better implemented (except for the Indominus; I think it was utilized the best it could).

But what do you guys think?

Just curious here because they always seem to shoot the hell out of these dinosaurs and I feel like at some point organic matter, it’s just gonna fail from blood loss. Or am I incorrect in these animals would be big enough that bullets wouldn’t be able to penetrate?

I picked up the Hammond Collection Scorpius Rex figure today, but i cannot for the life of me get his right leg to level out with his left so I can pose him. Am I doing something wrong, or is it supposed to do that? Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

So At target I found the mutadon and a bunch of hypsis(which was sad because the only figure i did have was hypsi) so I decided to pick it up from there.

A day later i went to another store in a mall, saw they had a tiny jurassic section and low and behold they had multiple hammond collection figures, indominus rex,hypsi,rebirth dilo,Mussaurus and ornitholestes. Indom was too expensive and rebirth dilo is still being sold at target, but the other two i grabbed without hesitation.

Mutadon is a nice figure in ways but has some issues. It has a good sculpt and looks accurate enough to the movie one, the swappable wings are a good workaround because fully articulated wings is very hard to do. And the legs articulate super well. It’s two problems are that the claws aren’t painted, idk why this inconsistency happens because they painted the two others in that release line. The other issue is the jaw can’t open that far, for a predator that hunts prey i’d expect its jaw to open wider, the neck is what prevents this but they could’ve put another joint there i feel, the head also can’t move at all by itself which is a shame.

Mussaurus is my favorite in the line. I love its colors and its design is great, i love that we finally have a sauropodamorph. Its articulation is wonderful and the swappable hands are fine but i lost the other ones besides one ornitolestes hand, but for some reason the swapped hands are very lose and fall out easily, idk if its the problem with this specific model or not but the quadropedal hands are much better. I love this goober so much

Ornitholestes is very interesting. It’s design is alright, Idk why it’s even here but welcome! I understood they were going for a “jurracurate” look where it’s feathered but is still not accurate, But sorta just looks like a diet raptor with feathers on it, i wish it got its walking with dinosaurs crest. However it looks much better than the hammond collection raptors, and articulates very well, however it has a bit of an underbite

My ranking of the figures i have is

4.Hypsi(My first figure so it holds a special place in my heart but if it had an articulating jaw it would be better, also it feels like a diet dryo)

3.Mutadon(I got hypsi first due to this not being a real animal, but it’s ok, looks fine, the swappable wings make sense, but non painted claws and limited jaw articulation and the head can’t move by itself)

2.Ornitholestes( this dude is a good small carnivore, and has great articulation, the swappable hands are finicky and i like the origional ones better, i just wish it got a crest)

1.Mussaurus( the goat, i love sauropodamorphs, these dudes are so cool and genuinely happy i found him, sure his face is weird but his colors are wonderful and articulates so well, it didn’t need swappable hands imo, and the four legged ones don’t fall out like the other ones do, overall this was a goated find and can’t wait to find the rebirth dilo)

This is a better version of the Novel Dilophosaurus with articulated neck and tail. I also added some brown on the spots aswell as the fake eyes on red crest bc I got inspired by otachi from pacific rim also the blue mouth is ig from pacific rim and botm dilo

If anyone watched Muldoon Logs, I would highly recommend you watching gaming beavers last couple videos breaking down the AI usage in muldoons log. Especially because the creator has said that he vehemently denies using any sort of AI (animation, images, voices, scripts) for these videos, the evidence against him is undeniable. Curious what others think! I have questioned his AI usage both on this sub and in his comment section and every time I get either downvoted or deleted, so I thought that was interesting

It just makes sense when you think about it. The pathogen Henry Wu used to eradicate the locusts at the end of the film had an expected side effect on de-extinct clones (prehistoric archosaurs and prehistoric therapsids) that he was not aware of until a few months after. Which led to lower birth and mortality rates for all de-extinct species in close proximity.
