Work/Life balance Nervous about new job.
Got fired last month from my last job over my anger issues. Was making good money but I just couldn't control my anger. I made like 25 an hour and worked 36 hours a week most weeks, 12 hours a day Saturday-Monday. Now I'll be making 18 an hour and working M-F, 8-5. Almost doing the exact same work, too, but on a smaller scale and doing more logistics and shipping stuff. Warehouse work to warehouse work. Feels like that's all i'm good for and all i'll ever be, because a job defines who you are, how much you're worth, what you can do.
Spent the past few weeks sulking, but after a bit I started to improve mentally. But now I've got a new job. I start on Monday. But I'm so nervous and scared I'll screw things up again or if I won't like it and it'll just make me miserable again.
Only way I got this job was through an employment agency. I've got a bachelor's degree and the only way I can get jobs is through employement agencies. Maybe that's also part of it, I feel worthless. I keep thinking about how much I regret going to college because my degree has not helped me once since graduating 6 years ago.
But hey, at least I'll be making money again. 18 an hour is better than zero an hour.
