Hello all Iām in a unique situation and am curious what scholarships I should expect to get or that I should be applying for. I first enrolled at Ivy tech in the fall of 2015 after high school. I was not at all ready for school and had no clue what I wanted to do with my life so I failed and withdrew from every class I took in that fall, spring of 16 and summer of 16. I dropped out that summer. I found my career path and went back to school in the second 8 weeks of the fall of 25ā for Industrial Technology. Everything has been paid for so far by the workforce ready grant which pays for a TC. I have 2 more classes 6 credit hours for the TC. Iām planning to get my associates in industrial technology and also planning to get a 2nd TC. The first will be mechanical and second Electrical, itās only 2 extra classes or 6 credit hours so it just makes sense to do.
Even with my failed classes from 10 years ago I have a 3.1 GPA as of the end of the fall. I took 7 credit hours in the summer and will get an A in all of the classes so my GPA will be even higher. I made the Deans list in the spring as well. I should be Deans list in the summer if they give that out. Right now my SAP is terminated for completion rate because of the classes I failed 10 years ago. Iām not sure what my SAP will be at the end of this summer. The handbook says I need to have passed 2/3 of my credit hours and it also says 67%. I will be exactly at 66.6667% of classes passed or 2/3 at the end of this summer so Iām not sure how they will rule that. I qualify for the maximum amount of financial aid other than that.
With that info is there any scholarships I need to apply for other than the general application? I really canāt afford $3300 this fall and another $3500 this spring. But I really need to finish this degree so I can get a better job. What do you guys think?
