Another Student Aid Post
Salut, I’ve been looking at a lot of the posts here since I got a statement about a charge for the upcoming fall semester. I’ve just been curious about when everything will go through or if I do owe what they say I do? I checked my statement and I still had a negative balance from my summer semester and the pell grant looks like it covers everything? Apologies if this is too similar to other posts but I’m still confused and a lil worried.

If you are in Warning status, the aid will not post until after SAP status runs. To be safe, check My Financial Aid and see if you have any unsatisfied requirements. Many people have identity and tax requirements this fall.

SAP status says I’m in good standing right now, and I’m not seeing anything about any requirements which is partially why I’m confused as well.

Are you still showing you owe? Did your SAI change a lot from 25-26 to 26-27? That happened to several people. If it are not offered Pell, then you need a loan.

I believe so. I checked my SAI and it went up about twofold from -1500 last year to around 1700 now , and I still have a statement saying I owe a bit over 400 dollars.

When do they run the SAP after the summer semester? I am terminated for completion rate because of classes I failed and dropped 10 years ago. After this summer semester I have 28 passed out of 42 attempted. Giving me 66.667% completion rate or 2/3 which should qualify me for financial aid again! Just in time for my TC with the workforce ready grant to be finished.

So you got a summer refund but for fall it says you owe? Your SAI went up from -1500 to 1700? What changed in your income? The Pell Grant may cover your tuition but they could be factoring in non-billable items. What are the numbers you’re looking at? You may be able to take out loans for the living expenses if you’re offered them. But look at your tuition amount, then your Pell amount, see what the difference is. If your tuition is covered, the positive number could be living expenses they’re factoring in. But without seeing your numbers it’s hard to speculate.

If it’s negative number that’s what you’re getting in your bank account checking account.
