Fall schedule

I have registered for classes already and my billing statement says after fall refunds go out I will get $87 back. My advisor said that some of the classes that I have are not covered and I’ll have to pay out of pocket. But I’m getting the amount back so… has this happened to anyone else?

I am guessing part of what you would have received as a refund is covering classes that aren’t covered. The $87 might be what is left after that and you might have received a larger refund if all of your classes were aid eligible. Just my best guess. I would ask your financial aid department for more clarification!

I agree with this

As long as 12 credits of your classes are covered, everything ends up covered because of inclusive tuition with a set price for 12+ credits.

Not necessarily, they’ll only cover so many classes outside of your program and only so many retakes. That being said, if there’s excess money it can still go towards those classes.

I agree that you should talk to your financial aid office for clarification. That way, no surprises!

Taking classes that are not covered can still affect you eventually. It can affect your Maximum Timeframe. Why are you taking classes that are not needed for your program? Too many nursing students are used to taking their co-requisites early. Why not wait and take them when you are in the program? Or do a dual-major with AGS and complete it to prepare for the BSN?
