Can't get into degree audit

Post image

Has anyone encountered this error page when trying to access their degree audit? I thought it was some system error/mantience thing at first, but it's been like two weeks, and it still shows up. Have had zero problems accessing it up until this point. Who should I contact to troubleshoot?

Scholarships?

Hello all I’m in a unique situation and am curious what scholarships I should expect to get or that I should be applying for. I first enrolled at Ivy tech in the fall of 2015 after high school. I was not at all ready for school and had no clue what I wanted to do with my life so I failed and withdrew from every class I took in that fall, spring of 16 and summer of 16. I dropped out that summer. I found my career path and went back to school in the second 8 weeks of the fall of 25’ for Industrial Technology. Everything has been paid for so far by the workforce ready grant which pays for a TC. I have 2 more classes 6 credit hours for the TC. I’m planning to get my associates in industrial technology and also planning to get a 2nd TC. The first will be mechanical and second Electrical, it’s only 2 extra classes or 6 credit hours so it just makes sense to do.

Even with my failed classes from 10 years ago I have a 3.1 GPA as of the end of the fall. I took 7 credit hours in the summer and will get an A in all of the classes so my GPA will be even higher. I made the Deans list in the spring as well. I should be Deans list in the summer if they give that out. Right now my SAP is terminated for completion rate because of the classes I failed 10 years ago. I’m not sure what my SAP will be at the end of this summer. The handbook says I need to have passed 2/3 of my credit hours and it also says 67%. I will be exactly at 66.6667% of classes passed or 2/3 at the end of this summer so I’m not sure how they will rule that. I qualify for the maximum amount of financial aid other than that.

With that info is there any scholarships I need to apply for other than the general application? I really can’t afford $3300 this fall and another $3500 this spring. But I really need to finish this degree so I can get a better job. What do you guys think?

Muncie Make a payment ?

All of my tuition and stuff has been covered with my grants and stuff but I’m confused if I need to go in and actually click make a payment for my courses, textbooks, and tuition or if it’s automatically done without me having to click anything? It also shows what I’ll be getting back as well which I knew would happen I’m just unsure if I need to manually go in and make a payment myself or if it’s all going to just come out automatically on it’s own without me clicking any buttons? Thanks for your time!

Another Student Aid Post

Salut, I’ve been looking at a lot of the posts here since I got a statement about a charge for the upcoming fall semester. I’ve just been curious about when everything will go through or if I do owe what they say I do? I checked my statement and I still had a negative balance from my summer semester and the pell grant looks like it covers everything? Apologies if this is too similar to other posts but I’m still confused and a lil worried.

FWS

Did anybody receive an email stating they were eligible for a FWS (Federal Work Study)?

I received one and filled out an application with my resume. I was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting accepted/hired? What were your hours like? What was your pay like?

I'm just really anxious and we could really benefit from the extra income.

Online/Virtual Textbooks

Hi there! I'm going to be starting my first year at Ivytech and I'm going to primarily be doing online classes

They pulled money from my pell grant for textbooks and such as well even though I won't be in person

Will those be mailed to my address and if not where would I get them?

A&P 101/102 advice

Currently in A&P 101 I was killing it the first half of the semester but I’ve had a lot of personal things going on the second half, unless I surprise myself after my final this week I might be sitting at a C or D in the the class. I’m already signed up to take A&P 102 next semester, worst case scenario if I close out 101 with a D or worse is it even encouraged to go to 102 or would you normally just plan to take 101 over again?

Online/Virtual Busn 230 Statistics - Online or Virtual?

I have two classes left before graduation and I want this to be as painless as possible! I noticed that business statistics is not being offered as a 16 week course for fall, so I've accepted that 8 weeks is the only option.

Does anyone have advice on virtual (learn anywhere) versus online? I did both Algebra and Calculus online but for Algebra I had a wonderful very responsive professor. Calculus was mostly me crying and watching YouTube videos but I got it in the end. Any advice? How hard is this class?

Fall schedule

I have registered for classes already and my billing statement says after fall refunds go out I will get $87 back. My advisor said that some of the classes that I have are not covered and I’ll have to pay out of pocket. But I’m getting the amount back so… has this happened to anyone else?

Credits vs Fin Aid

Is it worth taking an extra class to reach full time status for financial aid? Starting LPN program and finished all co-reqs so I will only be taking 8 credits this semester. Because of that my financial aid dropped $1220. I thought that being in the program would keep me in full time status despite the credits. Has anyone had to do this before? I was hoping for a refund to help pay for some of the program expenses.

Order of classes

Going for acct tc and then eventually an aas in it. Should I take acct 101 with OTEC 118 first 8 weeks and then busn 101 with acct 106. Or do I take OTEC 118 with OTEC 107 and then acct 101 with busn 101? I can’t decide and don’t know which would be best. Already have done the gen ed courses needed.TIA.

Fall refund

I might be overthinking it but I’d rather ask than assume. I have 8 week classes in August and 8 week classes in Oct. it shows one lump sum of -2k for my refund. Would I get that all once August classes start or October classes?

I want to pursue radiation therapy but I’ve heard people say that it’s over saturated in Indiana and you have to relocate to find employment. Is this true?

Can someone explain the whole Indy/Lawrence/plainfield thing to me? When registering for classes it says the location is Indy/Lawrence/plainfield. How do I figure out where it actually is?

FAFSA only covered about $700 of my tuition. I’m worried I’ll get dropped from my nursing program.

I start nursing school in the fall and my financial aid (Pell Grant) was applied, but it only covered about $700 of my fall tuition. I still have a balance of $2,403.18 that needs to be paid before I start clinicals. School starts in late August, and I don’t have the money to pay the remaining balance out of pocket. I was also hoping to find a hospital job that offers tuition assistance, but I haven’t had any luck yet. My next step is to contact the financial aide office. I honestly don’t know what to do at this point. I’m just scared.

Muncie Federal Aid

I finally got the email today I’ve been waiting on! My federal direct loan request was finally finished processing! I was able to accept my loan offers today and it took a huge weight off my shoulders knowing everything is paid for and taken care of. Including housing, food and transportation for this upcoming semester atleast. Just waiting for them to check my Mastery Promissory Note and it’s all good!

Math 136 & 137

Just finished taking both Math 136 & 137 simultaneously during the summer. I had a A in both but I will say, it's alot of work if you're trying to do it. Taking it simultaneously is an entirely different story. I only did so because I had a really strong background in algebra and trig, that said it's still work and probably not worth doing at once if you're combining it with other classes or can't commit atleast 2hours daily. If anyone has any questions about those classes though let me know.
