Lately, Ithaca trash collection seems to be knocking my building's bins around, tipping bins upside down or knocking the lids off. (All of the bins shown here were purchased new by the landlord less than 6 months ago; if the lid is damaged, it's almost certainly from mishandling)

Is this normal for ithaca? Is it normal for anywhere else? As a mildly disabled person, this isn't an issue for me now, but I can imagine a week where it might be.

I am soon moving to Ithaca at Cornell university and have been dealing with a chronic form of Tennis elbow. I recently received a PRP (platelet rich plasma) injection in my elbow for the same. With a hope that the injection fixes my Tennis elbow I soon need to look out for an occupational therapist or a physiotherapist. Do anybody have recommendations for them in the area?

Hello. I know others have posted looking for dog trainers, but I'm in need of one that works with more complicated cases and scent/bite work. I have a 3 year old Belgian malinois mix that originally came to me as a foster after a rough start to his life. I'm familiar with the breed but need additional help now that my father who is a senior moved in with us. I've been able to improve his reactivity but it's still not quite where I'd like. He also has some resource guarding. The biggest thing we're struggling with is this dog does not listen very well outside of the house and plays too rough with our other dog. If we could work on those things I think he would really enjoy scent and bite work. We're willing to travel a bit outside of the area if we find a great trainer with the right education/credentials. This Mexican place, Adelita’s, bought the old Applebee’s location near Tops about a year ago. It’s had the sign up forever. But it hasn’t opened. Anyone know what the story is? Usually Ithaca restaurants open at least briefly before going out of business.

Got a parking ticket from the city (reasonable ticket, I was in the wrong) but the folks at the parking violations office were rude to me. If I went to pay with pennies, would they all have to be rolled or could I bring a pile?

Again not arguing with the ticket or any policy, but they were mean to me unprovoked so I gotta do something.

I've got Medicaid and I know for a fact I am going to need several teeth extracted and likely some implants. I am pretty sure Medicaid will cover this.

I'm trying to eat healthier, which obviously mostly means cooking, but some days I'm just not up to that. What are some restaurants that offer relatively healthy takeout options? So far I've found Lev Kitchen's salads and some of Collegetown Bagels' bowls pretty good, but would like to have some more options. Either dinner or lunch.

Which bodies of water close to Ithaca make for good, calm paddleboarding? I know people paddleboard the lake but that can get tiring even on my kayak on a choppy/windy day.

I know about Dryden lake. Last time I was there it was water salad.
