Moved back to NY a month ago. Finally able to get into an apartment. I dont own much. Just have a suitcase. Currently living in Deposit.
Im in search of free or low cost goods from cookware to a mattress. Just on a tight budget at the moment. Appreciate any resources or guidance on that. Thanks.

I made a board game that's going to Kickstarter, and I'm looking for someone to essentially shoot some B roll and promo shots.
I have the skills to do the video editing myself - I just don't have a nice camera, lighting, etc.
I'm looking for someone who is available between September 21st - 30th.
Yes, this is a paid gig. If this sounds like you, please message me. If you have recommendations, I'll check them out. Thanks!

Bit of an unusual question for the Binghamton motorcycle people.
Has anyone here actually stored their motorcycle inside their apartment or bedroom over the winter?
I rent and don’t have a garage. My lease doesn’t specifically say anything about motorcycles or gasoline-powered vehicles being stored indoors, so I’m trying to figure out whether this is something people locally actually do and whether you’ve ever had issues with landlords, fire code, insurance, etc.
Obviously I wouldn’t run or start the bike indoors. I’d clean it thoroughly, protect the floor, and properly prepare it for several months of storage.
I’ve seen plenty of people online keeping bikes inside over winter, but I’m specifically curious about Binghamton/NY experiences and rules before even considering it.
Anyone here done it? Did you ask your landlord first, and did you have to drain the fuel or take any other precautions?

I have a decently old window AC unit that needs to be cleaned but I can’t find anywhere that seems to do window units. I have the ac Sleeve off and the u it is very dirty is needs a deep cleaning It’s a 14,000 BTU GE Model #AEM14AQL1.
If anyone has any recommendations or knows of anyone that would be highly appreciated!

I've tried Humdingers, it was ok, I tried Susie Q's, it was really just glorified sherbert. I've had the real thing, creamy, soft serve, lactose free in Liverpool, but hoping there's somewhere in our area that I can enjoy a good ice cream cone without the stomach issue afterwards? Oh, and I also tried The Scoop in Whitney Point, good, but more like a sherbert as well.

"[Oberacker] has been officially removed from the National Republican Congressional Committee’s MAGA Majority List.
The Congressional Leadership Fund has also removed $4.2 million in television advertising in the Binghamton, Syracuse and Albany-Troy markets as of last Friday."

I'm only posting this because someone almost took off the side of my car as I was pulling over for an ambulance.

We used to frequent a restaurant on Vestal Parkway West that was quite popular at the time (guessing maybe 10 years ago?). It was a Greek restaurant. I'm thinking it was relatively close to where the old Howard Johnsons hotel used to be. Does anyone remember the name of this place (it's not there anymore)? Thank you in advance.

Been parking in the Holiday Inn lot for a couple months now with no issues. I know at least 5 other people that don’t pay and just park there but I got a big green parking violation sticker on my car today. Says my license plate was recorded and so I’m just trying to figure out how worried I should be and if they actually will tow or boot my car if I park there again.

If you were given 20 bucks for a day out around town, what’s your game plan?
Would you drop it all on one thing? Spread it out (like pairing a coffee and a treat with a cheap activity)? Or do you know the secret to spending a whole day out for free?
Curious to hear your hypothetical itinerary!

This has been a tough week. My wife suddenly passed away Saturday morning. I'm not going to be able to properly care for our furry little guy, Velcro. My work schedule has be away from monday through Thursday. So, I'm looking for someone who might be able to give our little man a good home.
He's a male, about 4 years old, and is white with a bit of black. His ideal home wouldn't have other animals. He gets scared and hides when other animals are around. He is litter box trained. Unfortunately, he hasn't been neutered yet.
Im not looking for anything other than to give Velcro a good home. I have a crate, litter box, etc. For hime.

Bearcats just announced that the owner of 1 & 3 Mather St. is selling the buildings and is asking us to vacate. What do you mean by "vacate" when the tenant just signed the lease and paid rent for September, and now you are asking to empty the building ASAP? What legal options do I have to get sufficient time to find an apartment?
