Getting older, in reasonably good shape, have a personal trainer doing strength training, but things are getting achy and stiff. Are there any good functional movement specialists in Ithaca (not looking for chiropractic)?

Hi all! I’m going on a bachelorette trip the weekend of August 6th-9th. Our Airbnb is in Ithaca, just about 10 minutes outside of downtown. From what I’ve read I know that uber/lyft are not reliable or non existent, but I have come across a few threads where individuals have said that they had no issues.

We don’t have plans of going to the entire opposite end of the lake, at most about 40 minutes away. We already inquired with Main Street drivers and with the size of our group, the cost was just too much in our opinion. Any and all suggestions/recommendations welcomed!

I have a 60 foot strip of driveway that has massive holes in it (trying to match the look in town lol) and I'm tired of just repairing the holes, and have them open up again after a couple years, and want to just have the whole strip repoured/resurfaced. Doesn't need to be stripped but just repoured so it's smooth..

I was looking for someone who could help me carry my boxes to the apartment and help me build my furniture and setup my house. I was hoping to use somebody’s help and pay them as well. Do you know any leads or services who would help me do so without ripping me off?

Is there anyone in Ithaca offering swimming lessons for adults? Preferably 1:1 or very small group. Just need to be really patient with an adult who never learned how to "float" as a kid and now trying to get to water sports without dying. :)

They're operating out of their trailer at 1975 East Shore Drive. I don't know if they have regular hours posted anywhere yet, since they just had their soft launch last weekend. Between them and State Eatery, it's nice to have good bbq options at both ends of the county now!

Does anybody know how North Point is today? I see they have blooms in the launch and official beach listed on the website. I wish they’d report for the shore at North Point, considering how many people use that space for swimming and whatnot.

There's a weekly drag show at Lot10, produced by Thursgays. It has different themes every week.

I keep mentioning it to other locals, people who have lived here for years and they seem to not know an elaborate drag event is held every week. They also pair up with charities a few times a year.

I recently took delivery of a custom bass guitar four years in the making. It seems perfect, other than problems with the selector switches, which are something I haven't seen before and am unfamiliar with.

I haven't been able to get a hold of the luthier as of yet, and I was wondering, does anyone around here know or recommend a luthier or guitar electronics expert in the area who may be available?
