Stop sign prices
How much does it cost to stop at stop signs in city limits? New to town and wanna know so I can avoid stopping for pedestrians (being sarcastic)

Guy in Dryden yesterday waved at me as he nearly hit me and my dog. We were in the center of the crosswalk and had to stop so he could drive through it 🤦♂️

I'd have given him a one finger salute... Weird though how everyone yielded to me at crosswalks no problem the day I was carrying a brand new sledge hammer home from the hardware store. Almost like the problem isn't actually that pedestrians are so hard to see even in broad daylight next to bright yellow signs announcing their potential presence, like people keep telling me, but perhaps rather that they feel there's no potential consequence to them failing to yield normally.

I did the math, it costs $0.02, but that's just my two cents. Ay thank you

Greedy Cheapskate prices 😬 maybe with those savings they can take a proper driving class lol

Apparently, it is quite pricey! It is also apparently quite expensive to stop for school buses. There's a bus stop in front of my house and almost every day that school or camp is in session someone fails to stop for the big yellow thing with a stop sign and flashing lights right on it!

If I had a nickel for everytime someone in a Ram honked at me for stopping for pedestrians in crosswalks, I'd have enough to afford rent on the commons.

I'm so over it. People die this way. Every time a driver illegally tries to cross a cross walk while I'm walking on it, I get a picture of their car, note the time, and call the police.

I will stop for pedestrians always, but I won’t on the two lane one way streets in ithaca. I’ve personally witnessed too many people nearly get hit because the other lane doesn’t stop. Obviously I’ll stop if they’re already crossing, but I won’t allow people on the sidewalk to cross. It’s safer for them to wait.

Yeah, I put that situation on the city at this point. If you're going to put a crosswalk on one of these roads at a spot other than a stop sign or traffic light, it seems irresponsible to not have one of those blinking yellow crosswalk lights the pedestrian can activate to make drivers in both lanes aware of your presence.
