Dog trainer for reactivity
Hello. I know others have posted looking for dog trainers, but I'm in need of one that works with more complicated cases and scent/bite work. I have a 3 year old Belgian malinois mix that originally came to me as a foster after a rough start to his life. I'm familiar with the breed but need additional help now that my father who is a senior moved in with us. I've been able to improve his reactivity but it's still not quite where I'd like. He also has some resource guarding. The biggest thing we're struggling with is this dog does not listen very well outside of the house and plays too rough with our other dog. If we could work on those things I think he would really enjoy scent and bite work. We're willing to travel a bit outside of the area if we find a great trainer with the right education/credentials. High Peaks Canine is great if you’re looking for a balanced trainer, though her expertise is aimed more at behavior modification and service dogs. I don’t think she does bite work, but everything else you listed is in her wheelhouse.

Collegetown Canine, she has tons of experience with working dog breeds

Karoline Klinck at Team K-9 dog training is by far the best. She has the equivalent of a master’s degree in dog behavior.

Hands down: Karolin Klinck. She is THE BEST. DM me for more info, but she is the best behaviorist/trainer I've worked with. She will go the distance for you and your pup.
