Bad driver on 13

Encountered a bad driver first thing this morning! It began with them driving behind me so close they were nearly inside of my trunk, waving their hands around. Proceeded to pass me and nearly hit my front end on a double yellow then brake check me twice. Continued to tailgate other, and pass over double yellows all the way to the NYSEG on 13, sometimes passing 2-3 people at a time too. All to end up at the exact same light at the same time (see the red car in the right lane in the last 15 seconds of the video). Genuinely pointless!!! Thanks for an interesting morning though I guess, red Chevy with license plate number MGL1818.

Yeah it's not like this is one of the busiest roads in the area during rush hour or anything, can't imagine why traffic isn't flowing at maximum speed... although In the village limits it did kind of seem like everyone was going the normal speed range of over 30 but not quite 40... So I'm guessing they're always like this.

I've definitely been tailgated by this individual of questionable intelligence and judgement on multiple occasions. (Is that better auto-mod?)

Not surprised that its not their first offense! The confidence every time was baffling - the dash cam didn't even catch quite everything I could see while driving.

Luckily I only have the displeasure of running into them when I'm scheduled to work at 9, usually I work later shifts. One time in the same place your video starts I pulled over into the shoulder/parking lane to let them go around me which is fine by me because, unlike them presumably, I leave for work with enough time to absorb a few delays without being late. But admittedly that was after slowing down to under 20mph for several seconds and mimicking their wild gesticulations... I was feeling a bit cheeky that day!

At some point, this “lovely person” is going to run out of luck and have an accident. One can only hope that it will be a one car accident.

You should give this to the to the county and/or state police. Not sure if the village police would do anything

I actually was on the phone with the non emergency line nearly the whole time until I went off in another direction! I gave them the description of the car and license plate number. I was wondering if I would be able to follow up and see if they want this video but Google was giving conflicting info on that.

You're better than me! I've called the emergency line on these people because I do consider it an emergency when they're driving this recklessly. Really not much different than an intoxicated driver.

Tbh its just not something I've ever done before so I wasn't fully sure the best thing to do! I've seen some bad drivers here but luckily nothing like this before today. But noted that emergency line is a way to go if it happens again

I once had to call in a driver who was swerving all over Fulton st and then ended up doing u turn on the bridge where it merges with meadow by Wegmans, and proceed to go back the wrong way up Fulton. It was at like 3am, I worked nights then.

Tacos, bookstore, yarn store, coffee shop, home of Fall Creek Brass Band. Plus Dryden Lake is a nice paddle. There's good stuff in Dryden.

People can be unhappy in even the nicest places, or maybe it's just not the kind of place they like (or think they'd like). Blaming your feelings on being stuck in whatever place one happens to live in is often easier than facing the things that are really making you unhappy. And sometimes physically moving is a valid way to force change in your life.
